The meeting was called to order at 7:00.
Chairman's Report: JV Springman/Paulette Greenberg
Paulette has the bus route info.
There will be only 3 routes this year and all are express routes with one stop besides the
festival.
Route 1 the Fed Ex building behind County Line restaurant
Route 2 Twin Groves
Route 3 the Metra station
Dave stated the routes were determined by driving patterns and parking space. He stated
that everyone wanted shortened bus routes.
Discussion occurred about no stop south of Lake Cook Road, that Fed Ex is gone from the
building on route one and it is difficult to see from the street. Paulette and Public Works
will re evaluate that route and get back to Alan by Friday, his deadline for the brochure.
Paulette also stated that she sent out 8 letters requesting donations for supplies or for gift
cards to purchase supplies.
Police: Vince Positano/Michelle Kondrat
Michelle had no report.
Parade: Rodney Odelson//Lee Orlov/Murray Sprung
Rodney stated that coming into the meeting he had 46 participants in the parade. Now he
has 47, as he received one when he got here.
Rodney stated that they are looking really good for the where there are at in the timing for
sign ups. When asked,he stated that he has 4 politicians, 3 businesses, and 3 bands. He
also has a singing band.
Mobile Com: Paul Zucher
Paul was not present and emailed his "no report"to Jane.
Fun and Food: Rick Kahen/Debra Jess
Rick announced that Mara has resigned from the committee and from the disability
commission.
Rick stated that this year, he is not going to have goodie bags. He has comfort dogs on
Monday for food from Lutheran Charities.
He hopes the event will go along smoothly.
He is working on some further plans and will be able to report on them at the next meeting
Paulette announced that Mo will help at the Monday program.
Fire Department: Joe Welter
Joe was not present but emailed his "no report" to Jane.
Park District: Allison Christopoulos/Bill Heider
Allison and Bill were not present. There was a Park District event tonight. Allison
emailed her"no report"to Jane. Allison added that if anyone has any questions or needs to
please have them email her.
Public Works: Dave Haisma/Mike Reynolds
Dave said that everything is going as planned.
The deadline for signage and banners is August 14th. All requests must go through
Paulette.
Chamber/Local Sponsorship: Roger SosaBrad Schencker
Brad stated that they have 21 businesses and 13 food booths paid for. Dorfler's is in but
will send paperwork and will serve veggie burgers, as requested.
Work with Prairie Craft beer is moving along well.
The Beer Tent will be taking credit cards this year.
Brad said that the t-shirts will be taken care of and the sponsors for the shirts will take care
of the after party.
Paulette asked about who will grill. Brad will coordinate with Debra. Grills must be on
one side of the food tent only.
Paulette stated that she received a check for$5000 from Civiltech Engineering.
Brad said they have received $2000 from First American Bank,
Brad stated that they have $30,000 committed, with about a third collected.
Brad stated that there will be boxed water.
Food Tent: Debra Jess/Penni Raphaelson
Debra stated that she has 6 checks for Paulette. She stated that the Lion Club will have a
booth that will serve pancakes, waffles and crepes, Friday through Sunday.
She has another not for profit that will sell bagels and cream cheese, lox, and bagel dogs.
Debra said that Troop 140 will take the boxed water for sales on Thursday and Monday
since they are the only people selling beverages that day.
Set Up Man: Eric Gordon
Eric had no report.
Arts and Crafts: Jackie Beegun/Sarah Lee
Jackie stated that they have 35 vendors as if now.
Jackie said that she has a psychic who wants a booth in the Arts and Crafts. According to
Jackie, she will be selling mystical reading.
JV said"No". It is not a good fit for the Arts and Crafts and for the festival.
Kids Craft Tent: Jane Primack/Carol Irvin
Jane stated that she now has enough cans. If anyone has some they have already collected,
she will take them, but committee members do not need to continue saving cans.
Other than that, Jane had no report.
Grilling Challenge: Chuck Posniak/Eric Gordon
Chuck had no report.
Entertainment: Karen Danenberg/Marlene Kozak
Karen stated she was happy to report that Darth Vader and a Storm Trooper will return this
year. Spiderman will also return.
Other walk arounds include Wonder Woman. Rapunzel, Sleeping Beauty, and Jasmine,
For the car show, she has a young band to perform.
Karen stated that the Village money is spent and the entertainment is complete.
Technical Production: Doug Primack/Adam Moodhe
Doug stated they are collecting riders and stage plans to send to the new sound company..
They need to talk about lighting in the beer tent. Doug said that they also need signs in the
Beer Tent that chairs are not to be removed. Dave said good luck with that.
Marketing/Publicity: Alan Danenberg/
Alan stated that the website is up and running. They have been tweaking it here and there,
as needed. They will be adding the presale ad and link this week.
Alan stated that he needs the final names for sponsorship for the brochure by Friday. If the
Village has not received a check, their name will not be included.
Paulette has the bus routes for the brochures.
Clicks and Shutters: Hal Norman/Jim Pawlak-
Hal was not present.
Jim stated that they will be shooting digital and is looking to purchase bigger cards for their
needs.
Car Show: Cody and Diane Bartlett
Diane asked if Alan was including Car Show sponsors in the brochure. Alan confirmed
that they were included.
Diane stated that they have bright signs if anyone can get them placed in store windows.
Information Booth/Ice Man: Marc Spunt
Marc was not present but emailed his "no report"to Jane.
Carnival: Debra Jess/Penni Raphaelson
Debra stated that she has received and emailed the carnival layout to the Police, the Fire
Departent, the Park District, Public Works and Paulette. She has not received any
complaints.
The posters have been ordered and they are as colorful as last year. They do mention the
car show and there is a spot for the discounted wristbands
Parking and Traffic Control: Alan Nudelman
Alan said everything is proceeding well and will be done on time.
At a later meeting,he will be providing a sign up for volunteers.
Jane asked and Alan confirmed that he received her info about UGive for volunteers from
Stevenson High School.
Village Liaison: Mike Reynolds
Mike was on vacation and not present.
Trustee Liaison: Andy Stein/Joanne Johnson
Andy was not present and emailed his "no report" to Jane.
Joanne said to let her know if she can help with anything.
JV asked Joanne to thank the board for Steve's work on the committee.

Rodney made a motion to adjourn. Alan seconded the motion.
