The meeting was called to order at 7:08.
Chairman's Report: JV Springman/Paulette Greenberg
JV welcomed our new trustee liaison, Joanne Johnson, who is back. Previously, before
becoming Trustee, she was a member of the committee.
JV also announced that Andy is staying on with the committee.
Paulette stated that she has a number of the volunteer gifts from the appreciation party. See
her if you did not get one or want an extra.
Police: Vince Positano/Michelle Kondrat
Vince and Michelle had no report
Parade: Rodney Odelson//Lee Orlov/Murray Sprung
Rodney stated that the applications have been sent out and as of tonight, he has 18
participants in the parade. He also said that he might have the canine unit.
Mobile Com: Paul Zucher
Paul was not present but sent his "no report"to Jane.
Fun and Food: Mara Sabath/Debra Jess
Mara was not present. Debra had no report.
Fire Department: Joe Welter
Joe was not present.
Park District: Allison Christopoulos
Allison had no report.
Public Works: Dave Haisma/Mike Reynolds
Mike had no report.
Chamber/Local Sponsorship: Roger Sosa
Roger was not present.
Food Tent: Debra Jess/Penn Raphaelson
Debra stated that she has talked to a few of the non-profits. They may have a new one.
The Lion's club wanted to put on a pancake breakfast on Saturday morning, but that will
not work. Now they are interested in serving pancakes and waffles as a non-profit booth.
Debra stated that she assumed Roger is working on the food booths.
Debra stated that the company that the Girl Scouts rented the corn roaster from no longer
rents out the machine. There is a food vendor that would like to serve the corn if the girl
scouts do not serve corn. He has his own roaster machine.
Set Up Man: Eric Gordon
Eric was not present.
Arts and Crafts: Jackie Beegun/Sarah Lee
Jackie stated that they have 9 vendors as of right now and it is very early.
Kids Craft Tent: Jane Primack/Carol Irvin
Jane stated that she met with her new chair Carol and they are coming up with some new
crafts this year. They are looking for more cardboard egg cartons for 2 of the new crafts.
They are still collecting 15-19 ounce cans.
Grilling Challenge: Chuck Posniak/Eric Gordon
Chuck stated that Eric Gordon will be his new co-chair.
Eric will not be grilling this year.
Entertainment: Karen Danenberg/Marlene Kozak
Karen was not present but emailed her report to Jane.
The main headliner entertainment is all booked.
On Friday night, Hi Infidelity will perform.
On Saturday night, Arra will perform.
On Sunday night, American English will perform.
Technical Production: Doug Primack/Adam Moodhe
Doug asked Chuck if he is still thinking about putting something in the beer tent for
entertainment for the auto show. Chuck stated he wants to talk with Doug and Karen about
entertainment. JV said that the Beer Tent which will be open and serving on Monday.
Marketing/Publicity: Alan Danenberg/
Alan was not present but sent his "no report"to Jane
Clicks and Shutters: Hal Norman/Jim Pawlak-
Hal had no report.
Car Show: Cody and Diane Bartlett
Diane stated that they have 2 sponsors for $500 each. One is NAPA of Wheeling. The
other is The Mulch Center. Diane said that the Mulch Center has an antique popcorn trunk
they would like to enter in the parade. JV told Rodney to send Diane a blank application
form and to waive the parade entrance fee.
Diane stated that they are looking for donated items for a raffle. These can include auto/car
related items or restaurants.
Information Booth: Marc Spunt
Marc was not present
Carnival: Debra Jess/Penm Raphaelson
Debra stated that there is nothing new. There will be a carnival.
Iceman: Ron Jess
Ron was not present. Debra stated that there is nothing new.
Parking and Traffic Control: Alan Nudelman
Alan stated that there will be traffic, and there might be parking. Alan stated that he will
be talking to Michelle in the next week or two about the parking issues.
Alan stated that after last year's BG Days, where suggestions given, if anyone has anything
else to add, in regards to parking and traffic,please shoot him an email. This includes
parking for the food tent and entertainment.
Village Liaison: Mike Reynolds
Mike had no report.
Trustee Liaison: Andy Stein/Joanne Johnson
Andy could not be present but emailed his report to Jane.
Andy wishes to thank Steve Trilling for his years serving as Trustee Liaison to the Buffalo
Grove Days Committee and he wished to welcome Joanne Johnson as the new Trustee
Liaison to the Committee.
Joanne stated that she is happy to be here.

No committee member had any comment.
JV stated that our next meeting will be June 13d'. Starting next month, there will be 2
meetings a month in June and July.
Rodney made a motion to adjourn. Rhonda seconded the motion.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:23.
