The meeting was called to order at 7:08.
Chairman's Report: JV Springman/Paulette Greenbergl
JV stated that it is April and you have until Monday to file your taxes.
Paulette is at a seminar but emailed her report to Jane.
1) Village President Sussman will be naming all of us to the committee at the next board
meeting on 4/18/16
2) Bev has added 2 more new people to our committee- Brian Johnson and CJ Mennes. CJ
lives in a group home and may not be able to attend meetings. He may be familiar to some
of you he has been a participant of Buddy Baseball for many years
3)For those of you who did not receive your thank you volunteer gift by not attending the
volunteer reception in February, Chuck will bring the cooler bags next meeting
4)I met with the Rotary and they want to change the duck race to Sunday from Monday.
Placement of the race is to be still decided
5) She also met with the Chamber concerning food tent vendors. Perri will relay more info
on that meeting.
Paulette
Police: Brian Spolar/Mike Rodriguez
Vince Positano, in charge of administrative services and Tony Goldstein, in charge of
traffic issues were welcomed by JV as our new Police Liaisons.
Parade: Rodney Odelson//Lee Orlov/Murray Sprung
Rodney stated that there is a parade. He has no report.
Mobile Com: Paul Zucher
Paul could not be present but emailed his "no report" to Jane.
Fun and Food: Mara Sabath/Mo Welborn
Mo is still in Texas. There is no report.
Fire Department: Joe Welter
Joe is at a seminar and could not be present. He emailed his "no report" to Jane
Park District: Teri Ebner/Allison Christopoulos
Teri has no report.
Public Works: Dave Haisma/Mike Reynolds
Mike reported doing grounds maintenance for the event.
Chamber/Local Sponsorship: Scott Fishkin/Roger Sosa
Roger was not present.
Food Tent: Debra Jess/Penn Raphaelson
Penni was not present
Alan stated that he, Paulette and Penni met with Roger.
At least one vendor wanted to serve items served that are served over at the carnival.
Roger will talk to the vendors.
They are looking for additional ideas for local restaurants, not just BG restaurants.
They are looking to create more of a taste of Buffalo Grove in the Food Tent.
There have been complaints of too many duplicates in the Food Tent. Roger will work on
that.
Roger asked that committee members pass on names from big companies in the area who
could be approached for sponsorship. Roger will contact them.
Alan stated that the WXLC radio station is looking for a possible remote broadcast from
the festival.
Alan stated that he is looping into the printer to provide a flyer before the fest. Something
to the effect of"Come see us at the new location". This could be possibly for the crafters
to pass on at other crafting events.
Roger stated that he is looking for a sponsor for$30,000. He will look for more.
Event Set Up Man: Eric Gordon
Eric stated that he is ready.
Arts and Crafts: Jim Pawlak/Joan Pawlak-
Jim stated that the vendors at other places talked well of Jim and Joan.
Jim said that this is his second time out of the house in two days.
This will affect him for BG Days. He will not be able to participate much this year.
Jim announced that this is their last year chairing the Arts and Crafts at BG Days.
If there are people who want to get involved and learn what they do,please get involved.
Jim needs help from committee members to go to Arts and Crafts fairs and pick up cards.
They have not been to any fairs this year due to his surgery and the death of Joan's mother.
Mara asked for a list of craft fairs that people can help with. Jim will send it to Jane and
she can send it out.
Jim stated that BG Days is not what it used to be for Arts and Crafts. It doesn't draw the
usual crowds.
Right now they need people outgoing to Arts and Crafts shows to pick up cards.
Schaumberg has been stealing our crafters. Sandwich also steals them. They have over
400 crafters. Crafters complain that people are not buying.
Jane asked Jim to send her a list of shows that he would like someone to attend to collect
cards from crafters.
Van Man: Eric Gordon
Eric said that he is ready.
Kids Craft Tent: Roshel Rivellino/Jane Primack
Jane states that she has been collecting recyclables all winter for use in the crafts.
Grilling Challenge: Chuck Posniak/Matt Dionesotes
Chuck stated that here will be one.
Entertainment: Karen Danenberg/Marlene Kozak
Karen stated that she has enjoyed spending the village money.
She now has the entertainment lineup.
Friday night Seventh Heaven will perform.
Hailey Reinhart will perform on Saturday night.
Sunday night Heartache Tonight will perform.
For the young ones, Darth Vader, storm troopers and Chewbacca will be walking around.
Also we will have Cinderella and Snow White.
Sunday we will have Jedi training from 3:15 to 3:45 in the grassy area in front of the main
stage.
Technical Production: Doug Primack/Adam Moodhe
Doug stated that he has no real report. He asked if there will be bouncy activities.
Karen said yes, on Saturday and Sunday, more south on the field. She said that she will
need power out there.
She will have to see where it all pieces together in the logistics of the new site.
Publicity/Marketing Alan Danenberg/Cristal Mohrman
Alan stated that the company hosting and holding the website is defunct. He is working
with the village's website contractor. They are being tasked with developing a new
website. This should happen at Monday's Board meeting
The same contractor will help with the brochure.
July 81h will be the drop dead deadline for any input for the brochure. If you have anything
different for your subcommittee spot,please send it to Alan or Cristal.
Alan stated that the new header for the Facebook page is being processed. Once the header
is done, they will get a focus at the top of the page with the new location.
Clicks and Shutters: Hal Norman/Jim Pawlak-
Jim has no report
Information Booth: Marc Spunt/Mo Welborn
Marc said that Mo is in Texas but still has no report.
Iceman: Ron Jess
Ron was not present.
Village Liaison: Scott Anderson
Scott was not present.
Trustee Liaison: Andy Stein/Steve Trilling
Andy announced that there will be no snow for BG Days.
Steve has no report.

Mara asked who to speak to about a website to sign up for Fun and Food.
Rodney made a motion to adjourn. Jackie seconded the motion.
