Minutes of Special Meeting
April 16, 2023
CALL TO ORDER and ROLL CALL:
The special meeting was called to order at 8:OOam by Chairman Berman. Commissioner Dryman,
Secretary, called the roll & noted for the record that a quorum was present for the meeting. Present in the
Chief's Conference Room @ the Buffalo Grove Police Department were Commissioners Fishman,
Dryman, Chairman Berman and FF/PM Dan Downey. Commissioners McKee and Blumenthal were not
present at the meeting.
SPECIAL BUSINESS: NONE
NEW BUSINESS:
A. Interview of 2 FF/PM New Hire Candidates will be conducted in Executive Session
EXECUTIVE SESSION:
A. A motion was made by Commissioner Dryman, seconded by Commissioner Fishman to recess
into Executive Session for the purposes of INTERVIEWING at 8:01am pursuant to Section 2(C)
(1) of the Illinois Open Meetings Act: The Appointment, Employment, Compensation, Discipline,
Performance, or Dismissal of Specific Employees of the Public Body or Legal Counsel for the
Public Body, Including Hearing Testimony on a Complaint Lodged Against an Employee of the
Public Body or Against Legal Counsel for the Public Body to Determine its Validity.
Commissioners Dryman, Fishman and Chairman Berman voted in favor of the motion. The
motion passed &the Regular BGFPC Meeting was temporarily adjourned for the Executive
Session.
RETURN TO OPEN SESSION:
The meeting was called back to order at 8:35pm by Chairman Berman. Commissioner Dryman,
Secretary, called the roll & noted for the record that a quorum was present for the meeting. Present in the
Chief's Conference Room were Commissioners, Fishman, Dryman, Chairman Berman, and FF/PM Dan
Downey. Commissioners McKee and Blumenthal were not present at the meeting.
NEW BUSINESS: NONE
ADJOURNMENT:
Chairman Berman made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Dryman to adjourn the meeting at 8:36am
Commissioners Fishman, Dryman and Chairman Berman voted in favor of the motion. The motion
passed & the Special BFPC Meeting was adjourned.
