Minutes of Special Meeting
June 19, 2021
CALL TO ORDER and ROLL CALL:
The meeting was called to order at 8:20 A.M. by Chairman Dibbern. Chairman Dibbern, acting as the
secretary, called the roll and noted for the record that a quorum was present for the meeting. Present
were Commissioners Fishman, Berman, and Chairperson Dibbern. Also, present was Police Tim Gretz,
who was sitting in as an observer for the Police Department.
QUESTIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE: None
SPECIAL BUSINESS: None
OLD BUSINESS: None
EXECUTIVE SESSION:
A. A motion was made at 8:30 a.m. by Commissioner Berman, seconded by Commissioner
Fishman, to move to Executive Session to discuss Section 2(C)(1) of the Illinois Open
Meetings Act: the Appointment, Employment, Compensation, Discipline, Performance, or
Dismissal of Specific Employees of the Public Body or Legal Counsel for the Public Body,
Including Hearing Testimony on a Complaint Lodged Against an Employee of the Public Body
or Against Legal Counsel for the Public Body to Determine its Validity. Commissioners
Fishman, Berman, and Dibbern voted in favor of the motion. The motion passed.
B. The Commission moved to Executive Session from 8:30 AM to 2:31 PM.
C. Commissioner Berman made a motion to adjourn Executive Session at 2:31 PM,
seconded by Commissioner Fishman. Chairman Dibbern and Commissioners
Fishman and Berman voted in favor of the motion. The motion passed.
RETURN TO OPEN SESSION:
A. The open session resumed at 2:31 PM.
B. A motion was made by Commissioner Berman, seconded by Commissioner Fishman, to
approve the Entry Level Police Officer oral interview scores conducted on June 19, 2021.
Commissioners Fishman, Berman, and Chairperson Dibbern, voted in favor of the motion.
The motion passed.
ADJOURNMENT:
A motion was made by Commissioner Fishman, seconded by Commissioner Berman to adjourn the
meeting at 2:32 PM. Commissioners Berman, Fishman and Dibbern voted in favor of the motion. The
motion passed.
