Minutes of Special Meeting July 5, 2017
CALL TO ORDER and ROLL CALL:
The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Vice Chairman Dibbern in the Chief's Conference Room
of the Village of Buffalo Grove Police Department. Vice Chairman Dibbern asked Commissioner Adriane
Johnson to be the acting Secretary.
Roll Call:
Commissioner Johnson called the roll and noted for the record that a quorum was present at the meeting.
Present were Vice Chairman Dibbern, Commissioners Johnson and Kulwin. Also in attendance was
Trustee Liaison Ottenheimer.
Approval of Minutes:
There were no minutes to approve at the Special Meeting.

Commissioners' Reports:
No report.
Chiefs" Report:
No report.
Questions from the Audience:
There were no guests in attendance.
Old Business:
No old business discussed.
New Business:
Vice Chairman Dibbern advised that a discussion will take place in Executive Session to relating review of
Lateral Police Officer Oral Scores.
EXECUTIVE SESSION:
A. A motion was made at 6:02 p.m. by Commissioner Kulwin, seconded by Commissioner Johnson,
to move to Executive Session to discuss Section 2(C)(1)of the Illinois Open Meetings Act: the
Appointment, Employment, Compensation, Discipline, Performance, or Dismissal of Specific
Employees of the Public Body or Legal Counsel for the Public Body, Including Hearing Testimony
on a Complaint Lodged Against an Employee of the Public Body or Against Legal Counsel for the
Public Body to Determine its Validity. Commissioners Johnson, Kulwin, and Dibbern voted in
favor of the motion. The motion passed.
The Commission moved to Executive Session from 6:02 p.m. to 6:03 p.m.

RETURN TO OPEN SESSION:
The open session resumed at 6:03 p.m.
A motion was made by Commissioner Kulwin, seconded by Commissioner Johnson, to approve the
Lateral Police Officer Oral Scores/Preliminary Eligibility Register, dated July 5, 2017. Commissioners
Johnson, Kulwin and Dibbern voted in favor of the motion. The motion passed.
ADJOURNMENT:
A motion was made by Commissioner Johnson seconded by Commissioner Kulwin, to adjourn the
meeting at 6:05 p.m. All Commissioners present voted in favor of the motion. The motion passed.
