Old Business
Prescription Dose Packaging — Discussion informing the Commission of the Sfe Dose
program from Highland Park Hospital. Though an innovative concept, it is more
expensive process.
Update on Community Center Issue— Park District President Larry Reiner reported on
the upcoming referendum for a park district community center and outdoor pool. He
explained how meeting the needs of the seniors are critical to the success of the project.
He recognized how the project even started was because of concerns voiced by seniors.
He described the senior center portion as a "center within a center." Explaining that
though the senior center might not have everything, senior programming has access to
everything they need at the community center. Larry also mentioned that he has met
with seniors at their regular meetings and that they appear to supportive of the project.
More has to be done to get the word out on how this will benefit seniors and the
community at large. It was suggested that BG Seniors visit other senior clubs in the
community to promote the referendum. This includes senior clubs at churches and
temples.
New Business
New Mailing List— Distributed. The new listing includes email addresses for the
commissioners. A request was made to include Larry's information. It will be added.
Proposed Meeting Schedule—The schedule was distributed though it appears that
several modifications are required because of holidays and the need to make sure
Village and Park District liaisons have the opportunity to attend. Adjustments will be
made.

Transportation of Seniors Across County Lines—As an information item, Dan reported
that seniors are concerned that the Wheeling bus might not cross township lines to bring
seniors to the new center. That concern is being addressed and there is no reason to
think that we won't be able to work something out.

Fitness Center— Dan reported on the construction progress on the new fitness center.
Golf Learning Center Update—The golf center operation is starting to pick up use.
Village Update
No report. Phil was ill.
