SUMMARY:The Village is the host of the Private Activity Bond Clearinghouse for Lake
County. This is the annual Resolution that transfers the Village's Volume Cap to the
Clearinghouse.
B. R-2017-7 State of Illinois Federal Surplus Program (Trustee Johnson)(Staff Contact:

SUMMARY:Approval of a resolution is required in order for the Village of Buffalo Grove
to continue to participate in the Federal Surplus Property Program.
C. R-2017-8 Calendar Year 2017 Village-Wide Street Maintenance Motor Fuel Tax

SUMMARY:Attached is the required IDOT Motor Fuel Tax(MFT)Resolution requesting
MFT funds to be authorized, in part,for the 2017 calendar year Village-wide street
maintenance program.
D. 0-2017-2 Ordinance Approving a Special Use for a Recreational Use at 1455 Busch
Parkway (Trustee Berman)(Staff Contact: Brian Sheehan)
SUMMARY:The petitioner, Ronald Klein of Rek Room, Inc., is seeking to open a
recreational facility in a vacant 12,183 square foot tenant space located at 1455 Busch
Parkway. Redline Athletics offers various sports training activities for kids ranging in age
from 8 to 18 years old. Pursuant to the Zoning Ordinance, recreational facilities in the"I"
District require a special use.
E. 0-2017-3 Ordinance Approving Text Amendments to the Village's Sign Code and
Zoning Ordinance (Trustee Weidenfeld)(Staff Contact: Chris Stilling)
SUMMARY: Staff is proposing multiple text amendments to the Village's Sign Code(Title
14 of the Municipal Code)and Village's Zoning Ordinance(Title 17 of the Municipal
Code).These changes were discussed at a previous Committee of the Whole meeting.
Additional information can be found in the attached staff memorandum.
F. Waiver of Bids-Cardiac Monitor Purchase (Trustee Trilling)(Staff Contact: Mike Baker)
SUMMARY:Staff recommends the Village Board waive bids and authorize staff to
purchase the replacement cardiac monitors at a total not to exceed amount of
$122,166.16 from Zoll Medical Corporation. The Village uses Zoll AEDs and to maintain
seamless compatibility from the onset of a cardiac event through advanced life support,
the continued use of Zoll cardiac monitors is requested.
G. Waiver of Bids and Authorization to Purchase Ronnie Drive Storm Sewer Improvement

SUMMARY: Staff recommends waiving the bidding requirement and approval of a
contract with Mark Meade Excavating, Inc., subject to Village Attorney approval of the
contract.

SUMMARY: Staff recommends an award of bid to Gen Power Inc.,the lowest responsive
and responsible bidder, in an amount not to exceed $7,615.00.

SUMMARY: Staff seeks authorization to execute an agreement with Gewalt Hamilton
Associates, Inc.for resident engineering and construction staking services in an amount
not to exceed $73,500.

SUMMARY: Staff seeks authorization to execute an agreement with Gewalt Hamilton

12. Questions From the Audience
Questions from the audience are limited to items that are not on the regular agenda. In
accordance with Section 2.02.070 of the Municipal Code, discussion on questions from the
audience will be limited to 10 minutes and should be limited to concerns or comments regarding
issues that are relevant to Village business. All members of the public addressing the Village
Board shall maintain proper decorum and refrain from making disrespectful remarks or comments
relating to individuals. Speakers shall use every attempt to not be repetitive of points that have
been made by others. The Village Board may refer any matter of public comment to the Village
Manager, Village staff or an appropriate agency for review.
13. Adjournment
The Village Board will make every effort to accommodate all items on the agenda by 10:30 p.m.
The Board, does, however, reserve the right to defer consideration of matters to another meeting
should the discussion run past 10:30 p.m.
