A. R-2019-31 Resolution Approving Revisions to the Municipal GIS Partners(MGP)
Contract (Trustee Johnson) (Staff Contact: Brett Robinson)
SUMMARY: Staff recommends approving a resolution authorizing staff to make the
specified revisions to the Contract between the Village of Buffalo Grove and MGP for
Geographical Information Services.
B. R-2019-32 Complete Streets Policy (Trustee Stein) (Staff Contact: Darren Monico)
SUMMARY: Staff recommends approval of a Complete Streets Policy as a requirement
for future grant funding opportunities.
C. R-2019-33 Award of Agreement for Fire Plan Review Services (Trustee Smith) (Staff

SUMMARY: Staff recommends that the Village Board authorize the Village Manager to
execute an agreement with Fire Safety Consultants, Inc. for Fire Plan Review services,
pending review and approval of the agreement by the Village Attorney.
D. R-2019-34 Resolution Authorizing the Expenditure of Funds for Consulting Services to
Identify and Obtain Grant Opportunities in Conjunction with the Buffalo Grove Park
District and Vernon Township (Trustee Weidenfeld) (Staff Contact: Dane Bragg)
Staff recommends that the Village Board authorize the Village Manager to execute an
agreement for professional grant writing services as part of a grant writing consortium.
E. R-2019-35 Authorization to Purchase Replacement Equipment through the Sourcewell
Purchasing Cooperative (Trustee Pike) (Staff Contact: Brett Robinson)
SUMMARY: It is recommended that the E50 T4 Bobcat Compact Excavator and
accessories be acquired through the Sourcewell Purchasing Cooperative contract
#042815-CEC in accordance with the Illinois Joint Purchasing Act(30 ILCS 525/0.01 et
seq.), in a total not to exceed amount of$66,911.00.
F. 0-2019-49 Amendment to the Traffic Ordinance (Trustee Stein) (Staff Contact: Darren

SUMMARY: Staff recommends approval of an Ordinance adding stop signs on Penny
Lane and Clohesey Lane at Ivy Hall Lane.
G. Proclamation Declaring November as Native American Heritage Month (President

SUMMARY: The Village recognizes November as Native American Heritage Month.
H. Proclamation for World Polio Day 2019 (President Sussman) (Staff Contact: Dane

SUMMARY: The Village proclaims World Polio Day in Illinois to raise awareness of Polio
disease and in support of Polio Research Illinois' important efforts to improve the quality
of life of those who are battling this disease.
Certificate of Initial Acceptance and Approval: Goddard School Development
Improvements (Trustee Stein) (Staff Contact: Darren Monico)
SUMMARY: Attached is the Certificate of Initial Acceptance for the Goddard School
development located at 1050 Barclay Blvd. Staff recommends approval to begin the one
year maintenance period on October 21 st, 2019.
J. Authorization to Execute Contract Extensions with Multiple Vendors (Trustee

SUMMARY: Staff recommends that the Village President and Board of Trustees
authorize staff to execute the following Contract extensions as listed below and further
detailed in the attached memo.
A fourth year contract option with Service Sanitation for Portable Restroom Rental and
Services.
A fourth year contract option with Gen Power Inc., for Portable Power and Lighting.
A fourth year contract option with Wold Ruck Pate, for Architectural Services
A fifth and final year contract option with Ultrastrobe Inc., for Emergency Vehicle Lighting
Installation Services.
A third year contract option with Presstech for Newsletter Printing Services.
A third and final year contract option with DiMeo Brothers, Inc. Mark Mead Excavators,
Inc., and Kloepfer
Construction, Inc for Emergency Contractor Assistance.
A third and final year contract option with Lucas Landscape, for tree removal services.
A second year contract option with City Escape and Garden Design for right of way and
median mowing services.

12. Questions From the Audience
Questions from the audience are limited to items that are not on the regular agenda. In
accordance with Section 2.02.070 of the Municipal Code, discussion on questions from the
audience will be limited to 10 minutes and should be limited to concerns or comments regarding
issues that are relevant to Village business. All members of the public addressing the Village
Board shall maintain proper decorum and refrain from making disrespectful remarks or comments
relating to individuals. Speakers shall use every attempt to not be repetitive of points that have
been made by others. The Village Board may refer any matter of public comment to the Village
Manager, Village staff or an appropriate agency for review.
13. Adjournment
The Village Board will make every effort to accommodate all items on the agenda by 10:30 p.m.
The Board, does, however, reserve the right to defer consideration of matters to another meeting
should the discussion run past 10:30 p.m.
The Village of Buffalo Grove, in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, requests that
