SUBJECT: Consideration of a variation of Section 16.50.080.A.2 . of
the Buffalo Grove Development Ordinance to allow construction of a
driveway apron with brick pavers instead of Portland Cement
concrete.

PUBLIC HEARING
SUBJECT: Petition to the Village of Buffalo Grove for rezoning
from the Residential Estate District to the B-2 General Retail
Business District for Parcel 1 and for approval of a Preliminary
Plan for Parcels 1 and 2 with the following variations: ZONING
ORDINANCE - Section 17 .44.030.F. (to allow a landscaped setback of
20 feet instead of 22 feet along the right-of-way of Illinois Route
83) ; DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE - Section 16.50. 040.C. (to allow a side
slope of 3: 1 and 1: 1 instead of 4: 1 for a stormwater detention
basin and to waive the requirement for underdrains; Section
16.50.070 .D.2 (to allow a right-of-way width of 50 feet from the
centerline of Illinois Route 83 (McHenry Road) instead of 51 feet) .
The petitioner proposes to construct a food shop/gasoline pumper
facility and car wash.
SUBJECT PROPERTY COMMON DESCRIPTION: The approximately 3 .75-acre
tract (Parcel 1, 0. 486 acres; Parcel 2, 3.264 acres) at the
southwest corner of Lake-Cook Road and Illinois Route 83.
