PUBLIC HEARING
SUBJECT: Petition to the Village of Buffalo Grove for amendment of the Special Use in the
Residential Estate District concerning the overall park development plan and approval of a
Preliminary Plan for a health and fitness center in the northwest portion of the park, with the
following variations: ZONING ORDINANCE - Section 17.40.020.B. (to allow a maximum height
of 38 feet instead of 35 feet for a portion of the proposed building).
The Buffalo Grove Park District proposes to construct a health and fitness center with a floor area
of approximately 70,000 square feet.
SUBJECT PROPERTY COMMON DESCRIPTION: The northwest portion of Busch Grove
Community Park along Busch Road and Illinois Route 83.
PROJECT NAME: Busch Grove Community Park, Northwest Site Improvements, Health and
Fitness Center.
