Tuesday, May 1, 2001
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. in Police Headquarters. Present at the meeting
were Chairman Walser, Commissioners Anderson, and Karge. Also present were Village
Liaison Art Malinowski, Fire Chief Allenspach and Police Chief McCann. Commissioner
Jackson is absent due to a trail derailment downtown.
A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of April 3, 2001.
3 Ayes, 0 Nays, motion carried.
Chairmans Report:
1. Brian Rubin is expected to be appointed as Commissioner on May 7, 2001 by the Village
Board.
2. HB 1689 is stalled for now.
3. There is a Bill in Springfield called the "Verbatim Record Bill" it would require
executive sessions to be taped or filmed for use if in court and there are any challenges.
4. 122 applications are currently out for Police Candidates.
Commissioners Report: None
Old Business:
1. Liaison Malinowski discussed the current police testing cycle, and the upcoming
Fire Lieutenant promotional exam.
2. Chief Allenspach will meet to select the Fire Lieutenant written exam.
New Business: None

Moved and seconded to adjourn the meeting at 7:49pm. Motion carried.
