2002-11-21 - Board of Fire and Police Commissioners - Minutes Board orCommission: ❑ Fire& Police commission Document Type: ❑A e g nda 0 Minutes Meeting ate: 11/21/2002 Type of Meeting: ❑ Special Meeting CALL TO ORDER and ROLL CALL: The Special Meeting of the Village of Buffalo Grove Board of Fire and Police Commissioners was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Jackson at the Village of Buffalo Grove Police Headquarters Building in the Chief's Conference Room. Secretary Rubin called the roll. Secretary Rubin noted for the record that a quorum of the Commissioners was present at the meeting. The Commissioners present were Chairman Jackson, Secretary Rubin, Commissioner Karge, Commissioner Anderson and Commissioner Lane. Fire Chief Sashko was also present. ❑ EXECUTIVE SESSION: A motion was made by Commissioner Karge to go into Executive Session for purposes of Personnel. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Rubin. Secretary Rubin called the role. Chairman Jackson, Secretary Rubin, Commissioners Anderson, Karge and Lane all voted in favor of the motion. The motion passed. The Commission entered Executive Session at 7:01 p.m. Fire Chief Sashko was present during the Executive Session. The Commission returned to the Regular Meeting at 7:10 p.m. ❑ NEW BUSINESS: A motion was made by Commissioner Rubin, seconded by Commissioner Anderson to extend a Conditional Offer of Employment as a Paramedic/Firefighter to Adam Dziedzic. Secretary Rubin called the role. Chairman Jackson, Secretary Rubin, Commissioners Anderson and Karge voted no. Commissioner Lane abstained. The motion failed. A motion was made by Commissioner Rubin, seconded by Commissioner Anderson to extend a Conditional Offer of Employment as a Paramedic/Firefighter to Carl DeCarlo. Secretary Rubin called the role. Chairman Jackson, Secretary Rubin, Commissioners Anderson and Karge voted yes. Commissioner Lane abstained. The motion passed. ❑ ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Commissioner Rubin, seconded by Commissioner Lane to adjourn the Special Meeting. Secretary Rubin called the role. Chairman Jackson, Secretary Rubin, Commissioners Anderson, Karge and Commissioner Lane all voted yes. The motion passed.
