CALL TO ORDER and ROLL Cam:The iriectingwas called to order at 7:30 PM by Chairman Jackson at tfie
Village of Buffalo Grove,Village Hall,Trustee Confawce Room.Acting Secretary Karge galled the roll.Acting,
Secretary Karp noted for ft—nwd—than a quorum of-the Commissioners was present at the meeting. The

Liaison Malinowski.
APP ROYAL QF MDW MS.ConmeissionCT Jackson stated the minutes of the March 2,2005 were unavailable
and approval will be tabled until the May meeting..
CHAIRMAN'S PORT: Chairman Jackson introduced new Commissioner Al Viehman and stated new
Commissioner JaW Loeb will be piment at the May mating.Past Commissioner Lane was sent a letter thanking
him for his pat service to the Commission by Buffalo Grove Village President Elliott Hartstein,Cominissioner
Jackson advised us of the Spring Commissioner Training Institute Scheduiedfir April 29th,30th and May 1st
2005 in Decatur,Illinois.Any=interested in attending_should contact Commissio=.Iackson_.

Orientation at the Police and Fire Departments.

Buffalo Grove High School Auditorium was attended by 1b4 Candidates and on Monday,�April 4th there were
209 Candidates.If there are nw WCandidates to be interviewed"by the Commission,arrangemesits will
be made to also interview them. Scoring of the Candidates will be based on written 25%�Pbysical Agility 25°/Q
and Conm*sioim oral interview?0 c.Commissioner Anderson feels that interviewing 22-25 candidates each
day is very diffamlt and suggested we oonsidw changing oral inorviowt from one candidate at a tim to.mwodW
possibly 3-4 or 5 candidates at one time. Oommissioner Jackson will talk to John C.Broibier to find out if all
