"F i .® jj��„ �III��I��IUII�I�lllllllllo�pl� VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE Board of Fire and Police Commissioners Minutes of Special Meeting June 16, 2011 CALL TO ORDER and ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order at 6:50 p.m. by Chairman Viehman in the Chiefs Conference Room of the Village of Buffalo Grove Police Department. Commissioner Dibbern called the roll and noted for the record that a quorum was present at the meeting. Present were Chairman Viehman, Commissioners Karge, Loeb, Lukatsky and Dibbern. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The Board waived approval of the BFPC Regular Meeting Minutes of June 7, 2011 until the next regular meeting. CHAIRMAN'S REPORT: A. Chairman Viehman noted that the oral interview schedule has changed for Sunday June 26, 2011. The first interview will be at 8:00 a.m. He will send out the final schedule the middle of next week. B. The Commissioners should receive early next week information on FF/PM candidates #2 and#15 for review. Candidate #7 removed self from consideration. C. Police Officer Candidate # 9 has accepted a position from Arlington Heights. COMMISSIONER'S REPORTS: Commissioners had no news to report. ADJOURNMENT OF OPEN SESSION: Chair entertained a motion for the Board to adjourn to a Closed Executive Session as authorized by Subsection 2(a) of the Illinois Open Meetings Act [5ILCS 120/2(a)] for the purpose of Employment/Appointment matters. Commissioner Lukatsky made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Loeb. Commissioners Karge, Loeb, Lukatsky, Dibbern and Viehman voted in favor of the motion. Open session was adjourned at 7:54 p.m. EXECUTIVE SESSION: The executive session was called to order at 7:54 p.m. Present were Chairman Viehman, Commissioners Karge, Loeb, Lukatsky and Dibbern. A discussion of Police Officer candidates #7 and#10 occurred. At 8:14 p.m. a motion was made by Commissioner Karge and seconded by Commissioner Dibbern to adjourn the executive session. Police Officer Candidate # 7: Adrian Jigalov. A motion was made by Commissioner Karge, seconded by Commissioner Dibbern to make a conditional offer of employment to police officer candidate Jigalov. Commissioners Karge, Loeb, Lukatsky, Dibbern and Viehman voted in support of the motion. Chairman Viehman will contact the candidate and make the conditional offer of employment. Police Officer Candidate # 10: Denis V. Tarabrin. A motion was made by Commissioner Loeb, seconded by Commissioner Karge to make a conditional offer of employment to police officer candidate Tarabrin. Commissioners Karge, Loeb, Lukatsky, Dibbern and Viehman voted in support of the motion. Chairman Viehman will contact the candidate and make the conditional offer of employment.
