VIII. Staff Liaison Report: None
IX. Other Business:
Buffalo Grove Days:
Chairman Kahen shared the current status of the Buddy Baseball game during Buffalo
Grove Days. — Still under discussion. Items discussed included the possibility
of having the game on Wed (8/31)with an earlier start time(6:30pm) This way the
Chamber committee members will be able to help out and then head over to the
Chamber game(7:30pm). Concerns were shared, by various commissioners, that
some of the kids may be back in school already and this would be a late night.
Also, the game may take longer, then anticipated, if the full roster of Buddy
Baseball participants are in attendance. This would also create quite a bit of
rushing for people going between the Buddy Baseball game and the Chamber
game. Most likely Thursday would be better.
Commissioner Sabath has received positive feedback from several contributors.
Brian Rubin, Benefit Solutions and Arlington Pediatric Therapies are sponsoring
the bag and there is an assortment of items to put into the bags. Mara has people
to take care of filling the bags. Brochures, to explain who we are, will also be
included in the bags.
