VII. Items for Discussion.
• Discussed with Carol Berman from VBG Building and Zoning the need for more curb
cuts at BG Fitness. Ms. Berman will advise the Commission when the work is
completed.
• Chairman Kahen addressed the requirements of the accessibility code that requires a
certain number of handicapped spaces per total number of spaces. He was wondering
what the Village could do to get shopping centers and strip malls to increase the
number of spaces; since the number of persons requiring them is increasing. DVM
Neukirch stated that if the Commission drafts a letter requesting —for example, 1
space for every 250 square feet of retail space, that it would be reviewed. Voluntary
compliance is preferred.
