artists perform in a variety of ways as part of the movement. Ms. Lane referenced also Bodies of
Work which connects networks and people together. The group produced a festival of artists with
disabilities, and plans another event in 2013. Bodies of Work seek to advance the rights of people
with disabilities and to educate the public about disabilities.

VI. Vice Chair Report
Vice Chair Sussman reported that he contacted the post office as a resident (not on behalf of the
Commission) to be more user-friendly to individuals with disabilities. It was noted that the Post
Office is not regulated by the American Disabilities Act. VC Sussman requested that the Post Office
honor individuals with disabilities by placing chairs in the waiting area or allow individuals to go to the
front of the line so individuals with disabilities do not have to wait in a line with no seating. He stated
that one of the supervisors at the Post Office indicated that "We don't care about the disabled",
when the concern was brought to their attention. VC Sussman indicated that he also contacted
Congressman Kirk about this matter.
VC Sussman also reported that he contacted the Village to report that the handicap parking spaces
near Jewel were covered with snow. Inspector Arizzi responded immediately and the snow was
removed.
