Chariman's Report: Mo stated that we have our village president in our midst. Elliot wishes to thank the committee for all their hard work. The village newsletter came out with a few omissions. In the section for the Committee members the newsletter has a question mark for Arts and Crafts committee. Also Nikki Lee's name was misspelled. Mo will make sure it is corrected in the next newsletter. The fireworks are to be at approximately 9:20, not 9:45 as the newsletter states. Police: Jim Newton: Everything is running smoothly. Park District: Ryan Risinger: Not present. He called Mo with his No Report. Parade: Joe Tenerelli: Paul Loeffler is present who helps Joe with the parade. Joe has received 92 applications for the parade, with one more float since the last meeting. Plus Joe attended an antique car show last week and hopes to get a few more applicants from that. He may have a couple of stragglers before the event. Joe will do the mailings in the next week. Mobile Com: Roger Remblake: Roger wants to know what to do with the Nextel phones, as he has a price for the phones. Michelle contacted a friend at Extreme Mobile who will provide 8 phones for the Festival, which will go to the bus drivers. Area Wide Cellular will provide 6 phones for the information booth for local free calls. There are no public phone on campus, only in the information booth. There are no phones on the carnival side. Committee members are to instruct people to go to the information booth. Mobile Com hours for the Festival are as follows: Thursday and Friday 5 PM-12 Midnight Saturday and Sunday 8 AM-12 Midnight Monday 9 AM to close Fun and Food: Rick Kahen: Rick stated that he was good to go. The goodie bags will be stuffed tomorrow by members of his own committee. He will not need help from the BG Days committee members. Rick stated that he will have lots of balloons and more toys by tomorrow. Fire Department: Troy Shannon: Not present. Public Works; Ray Rigsby: Ray states that he is ready to go. Ray will arrange to have the teen stage delivered on Sunday afternoon before the carnival comes in Sunday night. There will be 4 port-a-potties for the carnival. Waste management will supply service. Dumpsters and oil bins will be delivered on schedule. Trustee Liason: DeAnn Glover: No report. Chamber: Steve Panitch: Steve stated that he had a successful business fair meeting this evening with 13 of 18 businesses showing up. Steve instructed the new business participants to address their questions and input for the next year to the `Blue Shirts". Pam suggested that committee members carry Festival fliers with the schedule with them and they can be passed out to people with questions. Food Tent: Tom Johns: Wednesday, the tables will be delivered. The chairs will be delivered on Thursday. The maintenance department will set them up Arts and Crafts: Nikki Lee/Glenda Hoelting: Nikki stated that she had 40 participants for the Craft Show. She has sent out half of letters and will send the other half out this week. Nikki states that she is set to go. Carnival: Paulette Greenberg: Not present. Karen reminded everyone, for Paulette, to not forget to sign up for the ticket booth sales. The minimum age for selling tickets is 16. Entertainment: Rhonda Corchin: No report. All is set and ready to go. Fund Raisin: Sara Herman: Sara stated that they have raised $35,950. Sara also reminded the committee that she would still accept checks for Friends of the Festival with a minimum of$25. Publicity: Karen Danenberg: Karen presented the ad for the Pioneer Press for corrections. Mo's letter from last year about the BG Days was in the Daily Herald this past week. Village Liason: Bill Brimm: No report Final Comments: Steve Panich got a phone call with a thank you for the tickets for the corporate VIP party. The Glo people may need someone responsible for Sunday night as Lori and Ron will not be available. They use the Youth Commission to help sell Glo Necklaces. Colleen may take over Sunday as person in charge. Pam stated that there were 150 people who attended the benefit at the Village Tavern on Friday night and made $173.
