Chariman's Report: Mo stated that we have gotten the extra phones, 6 from Area Wide Cellular, and 8 from Extreme Mobile, for a total of 14 phones. Police: Jim Newton: no report"Good to Go" Park District: Ryan Risinger: "All set", Friday at 5 the climbing wall will be coming in , and the dunk tank will come in Saturday morning at 8 am. Parade: Joe Tenerelli: Joe stated that there are 100 plus units for the parade. Dairy Queen has a float and has no paper work, but Joe has gotten the paperwork out to them. Joe has the parade marshal sign up sheet and requested that marshals be there by 11 o'clock. Every warm body needs to be available to be parade marshals. There will be 2-3 people on golf carts Some people will be on corners and some will be riding the parade route. You can bring own lawn chairs to sit if you chose. Joe needs a marshal on Navaho to direct school buses. Mo stated that anyone wanting to be a parade marshal to meet with Joe after the meeting. Mobile Com: Roger Remblake: No report"Good to Go" Fun and Food: Rick Kahen: not present He called a report in to Mo. "All is Good to Go". As of yesterday, 190 signed up for the Fun and Food. Rick expects it will increase to 250-275 people by Monday. The food will be delivered at 10:30. Rick needs people at food the tent by 10:30 am to move tables and pack the food trays. Fire Department: Troy Shannon: not present, Mo indicated that the article in the Daily Herald stated that the fireworks starts at 9:40. The fireworks will actually start between 9:15 and 9:30, which means they will start about 9:20 PM. The fire works will be 23 minutes long, an expanded program from last year. We need to get the word out to everyone regarding the correct time for the fireworks.. Mo will try to get the correct time on the sign out in front of Village Hall. Public Works; Ray Rigsby: Ray stated that on Thursday, Lake Cook Road will be open entirely. All construction will stop for the time of the Festival. Other that that, everything is Good to Go. Trustee Liason: DeAnn Glover: no report Chamber: Steve Panitch: No report Food Tent: Tom Johns: Tom stated that everything is "Good to Go". On Monday, we can use help breaking down and stacking chairs and tables. Per Mo: starting at 4:00 PM Monday, all committee members must all be at the Food Tent to help to clean up. Mo stated that even a half hour is better than nothing. Please give us some time. Everyone can do something, count tables, scam up chairs around the campus. Arts and Crafts: Nikki Lee/Glenda Hoelting: Nikki stated that she might get 45 booths. She is having a meeting tomorrow night for all crafters, which is new this year. It gives the crafters a chance to come over to the village campus to see where their booth is and how they are going to get in and out. Carnival: Paulette Greenberg: For the Children's Fair, there are 15 booths. Paulette will need 16 tables set up Saturday morning. Entertainment: Rhonda Corchin The Walk Arounds must go into a cooling spot every 20 minutes. The chamber is not convenient. The Public Works building is a better place to use but someone has to go in with the Walk Arounds to prevent any incidents. Other than that"Good to Go". Fund Raisin: Sara Herman: Sara stated that $37,423 has been raised. We have passed our goal for this year. This is the last call for Friends of the Festival. Sara will need a check tonight, if donating. Publicity: Karen Danenberg Mo stated that the Daily Herald insert was an outstanding job. Karen worked closely with the Daily Herald news people, but wrote most of the articles herself. Karen stated that the ad for the Daily Herald was fixed for tomorrow. Bill Brimm: no report: Per Mo, Bill will be on grounds with Ray. Bill will be in the Village Hall, "taking care of business". Bill donates his time to be here the entire weekend. Scott Anderson will be here Saturday. Bill will be here all other days. Final comments If volunteers gets angry, go away and cool off. We are the goodwill ambassadors for the village.
