Chairman's Report: Tom has no report. JV stated there were not enough people to make up a BG Days Relay for Life team so the money raised was moved over to another team. JV has no further report. Police: Jim Newton—no report Park District: Ryan Risinger—not present Parade: Joe Tenerelli - Joe stated that they were doing the mailings for the parade tonight. He also stated that if anyone knows of a group that wished to march, such as a band or a float, they can leave a message for him at Village Hall. Joe stated that there was no charge to get in the parade. Mobile Com: Roger Remblake—not present Fun and Food: Rick Kahen—not present Rick sent an e-mail to JV stating that the Village Grill and Outback will provide the chicken fingers for the program. Weiner Take All will provide all the hot dogs. All the food needed the Fun and Food program is being provided. Ronald McDonald will be here at the Fun and Food. He is coming after the Schaumberg festival. Fire Department: Troy Shannon—not present Public Works; Ray Rigsby—not present Trustee Liaison: DeAnn Glover—not present Chamber: Ron Jess and Sara Herman - Sara stated that the For-profit part of the Food Tent is full. • Captain Nemo's wishes to serve Chititas, Super Cheese Subs, Beef and Cheese Sub, and Veggie Subs. As these items do not conflict with Subways offerings, the items were approved. • Cold Stone Creamy wishes to serve their own prepared ice cream with their specialty toppings. This was approved. • Buca Di Beppo wishes to serve Bruschetta, Italian Sausage Sandwich, and Mini Chocolate Cannoli. These items were approved. • GrillWorks of eSkape wishes to serve Grilled Chicken Sandwich, BBQ Chicken Pieces, Buck a Bone Ribs, and Jumbo Baked Potato. These items were approved. • I Am Siam wishes to serve Pad Thai Chicken, Chicken Ballon, Rice Dumplings, and Combos of the above. These items were approved. • Luke's of Mundelein wishes to serve Italian Beef, Char-broiled Polish, Char-broiled Bratwurst, Meatball Sandwich, and add-ons of cheese, red sauce or pepper. These items were approved. • Thursday night we will have Cartwheel's Catering serving Hot Dogs, Chips, Popcorn, Cotton Candy and Sno-Cones. Little Italian will be serving pizza. Sara is still waiting to hear from Dominick's. • The Continental Restaurant is currently the only vendor signed up for Monday. The Business Fair has two open booths left, with 18 spoken for. Sara stated that we have shuttle carts sponsors. Food Tent: Steve Schultz—not present Tom states that he heard from Steve and that several not for profits have reported back that they will be taking a booth. The Knights of Columbus will be back, again for the Basketball toss Setup/Take down: — Arts and Crafts: Nikki Lee— Tom stated that Nikki sent an email with her report. She is sending out more letters for applicants for the Arts and Crafts booths. The shuttle bus driver for the Arts and Crafts area will be decided later. Nikki has been approached by vendors who wish to sell home made food items in the Craft area. JV stated that we will need to check with the public health department about the issue. Nikki was also approached about a vendor wishing to sell kettle corn. The AmVets sells popcorn in the food tent. The carnival sells Jack in the Box. Karen suggested placing the vendor at the end of the craft fair. The issue will be tabled for later discussion. We may need to get the public health department involved, to have the vendor inspected and see that they have a license. Carnival: Paulette Greenberg/Debbie Jess — No report on the Carnival. Children's Expo: Paulette Greenberg - Paulette has sent out 85 invitations for Children's Expo. One group wished to donate a prize. It was decided that the group would be named as a Friend of the Festival. The item donated is a certificate for Kids Snips hair cuts. It was suggested that the certificate be raffled off at the disability program for 50 cents a ticket. Entertainment: Karen Danenberg— Karen stated that the BG Idol program is off and running.. She also states that she has filled her last opening with the Trinity Irish Dancers. Karen stated that she is having a lot of problems with the Pioneer Press people in getting help with the BG Idol program. Karen may be able to get a radio personality to MC the BG Idol program. Channel 7 is sending a TV talent reporter to report on the Idol program. Audio/Visual: Doug Primack/Adam Moodhe—no report. Corporate Sponsorship Sara Herman - Sara stated that several sponsorships have come in so far. Publicity: Chantal Davidson - Chantal states that she talked to Pioneer press and has faxed over articles on the BG Idol program, the Friends of the Festival program, and the need for entries for the parade. She states that she has been promised coverage and has not gotten any yet. She stated that the Daily Herald will work on BG Days articles for their publication. She states that there will be something in the village paper coming out in July on the Festival. VIP Party: Pam Soracco/Mary Libby—not present No report per Adam Moodhe. Information Booth: Ken Lazar— JV stated that Ken will have a sign up sheet to have people man the information booth and people to drive the shuttle van. There will be a master book regarding who does what and where everyone can be found. Glenda asked where the lost and found will be located this year. She states that last year, the lost items were at multiple locations and it was confusing for the festival patrons trying to retrieve there lost items. This will be addressed later. Village Liaison: Bill Brimm—no report Glo Necklaces: Lori and Ron Hackett- Lori stated that she will order the necklaces, the same number as last year. Lori questioned whether someone will be selling the blinking pins that were sold last year. JV stated that that these will not be sold and that we will stick with the necklaces. Ron Jess made a motion to adjourn. The meeting was adjourned at 7:30.
