Your 2 Cents Worth: All committee members
Paulette reminded everyone to let her know if they need blue shirts for the festival. They come in
polo or t-shirt style. Every new member gets two blue shirts plus the tie-dye shirt for the Fun and
Food program on Monday. Give her your name, what you want and in what size. Also,
committee members can purchase, on their own, the denim shirts for a light cover up if they wish.
This is instead of the sweatshirt. Those wanting the denim shirts should also give their name and
size to Paulette. The kids in the BG Juniors will need to give Paulette their name and sizes for the
yellow t-shirts they will wear. They do come in kid's sizes. If you need a name tag, leave your
name with Paulette and she will take care of it. All committee members are to have name tags.
Paulette reminded everyone that if they are not assigned to a committee, they can pick a sub
committee to be on. She emphasized that everyone is expected to do a session in the ticket booth
at the carnival. She reminded everyone that the ticket booth sales are where the committee really
makes their money.
Jim reminded the co-chairs that he will need van drivers for the courtesy van for the Arts and
Crafts Fair.
JV stated that after Bingo on Thursday night to be present to reconfigure the Bingo Tent into the
actual Food Tent set up.
JV reminded everyone that they are expected to help in the Monday Fun and Food program in
their tie dye shirts. It is a very rewarding experience to watch the kids truly enjoy themselves in
the program.
Monday, at approximately 3:30, we will begin the final take down of the festival, gathering and
counting chairs and tables. Everyone is expected to participate.
JV will be providing the pop up tent for the interfaith council, who will be passing out literature
and answering questions. Chuck stated that if they were being provided the tent free, could we
ask that they provide a free article in the temple/church bulletins/newsletter regarding the Buffalo
Grove Days Festival. JV will look into it.
Ron made a motion to adjourn. Ken seconded the motion.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:55.
Respectfully submitted,
