about possible ticket booths, since Astro is not sure they can provide what the committee is

information for the camera placement.
Entertainment: Karen Danenberg—
Karen asked Mike to ask the Tim Gratz of the canine demonstration unit, if they will be
performing in the parade, the craft area or both. Tim Gratz said that there was mention of the
parade being held up too much with the demonstration. Mike said it was popular in the parade
and after checking, it did not delay movement of the parade. Karen stated the parade was the
only time that residents get to see the demonstration of the unit and wants it to stay in the parade
lineup. She would love to have the unit in both the parade and the craft area, but she is not sure if
it will be good for the dog to do both. Mike will pass it on to Tim and let him decide.
Friday night, Karen has a contract with Micky and the Memories. Sunday night, she has a
contract for American English to perform before the fireworks. Saturday night she has a contract
with Blood Sweat and Tears. Karen asked the Chamber if they could find a grand headline
sponsor since the act is costing more. Sharon stated that they are already looking for one, for
$10,000. This will include the sponsor logo on the Main stage speakers all weekend, recognition
at the Main stage throughout the weekend, recognition of the sponsor by the band during the
concert, and the sponsor will be able to meet and greet the band behind stage.
Karen will have a few style 50's bands in the Beer Tent, but she can't book 50's the entire
weekend there. Mystress will play Sunday night at 9:30 in the Beer Tent after the fireworks.
Craft are same idea as last year. Karen stated that she may extend the entertainment in the craft
area to Monday.
Karen stated that Blood, Sweat and Tears will need one night in a motel. She said that the band is
excited about coming to BG Days in particular because of our 50rh anniversary. They are
celebrating the 40 anniversary of their run as a band. There are 4 original members from the band
and 3 others are sons of original members.
Audio/Visual: Doug Primack/Adam Moodhe—
Adams stated that the contract in for stage has come back. Doug stated that we saved $3750 by
getting rid of the Teen Stage this year. The Teen Stage costs more as is has to come in early
before the carnival is set up and can't be removed until the carnival is down. Adam stated that

subcommittee is open to anyone, even kids who do not have family members on the committee.
DeAnn suggested limiting the number of Juniors. She suggested that 25 kids are more than
enough. Some will not show. DeAnn said that they are still young and we need to keep a close
watch on them. Karen suggested that Rhonda tailor specific assignments for each kid for each
shift. DeAnn stated that if the kids are a no show, they will not be allowed to volunteer the next
year.
