The meeting was called to order at 7:03 PM.
Chairman's Report: JV Springman/Paulette Greenberg
JV stated that we are 2 months out from the festival.
Police: Roy Bethge-
Roy stated that he was concerned that the Teen Stage was coming back after reading the minutes
of the last meeting. JV and Karen both stated that it was gone.
Roy stated that he will submit his plan for staffing tomorrow to the chief. He does not anticipate
any issues. He has given Karen one more officer for behind the Main Stage each night.
Park District: Terri Ebner—
Teri was not present.
Parade: Joe Tenerelli/Lee Orlov -
JV re-announced that Joe will be the Grand Marshall this year in honor of all his years of service
to the Village and to the committee. Paulette stated that she already has a horse and carriage
lined up.
Joe stated that Lee will help Joe do the mailings with him this year.
Joe stated that Dominick's will not participate this year due to the economy.
Joe will not know how the economy will affect the parade entries until the mailings are returned.
Joe announced that this will be his last parade. He will stay on as an advisor, but will no longer be
in charge of it. When asked, Joe said that this year will be his, his 26rh parade.
Mobile Com: Roger Remblake -
Roger was not present.
Fun and Food: Rick Kahen/Mo Welborn -
Rick stated that they are 90 percent ready to go.
Fire Department: George Michehl -
George was not present.
Public Works: Dave Haisma/Brett Robinson -
Dave was not present but e-mailed his report to Jane.
He stated that everything at Public Works is in order at this time.
Trustee Liaison: DeAnn Glover—
DeAnn was not present.
Chamber/Corporate Sponsorship: Scott Fishkin/Sharon Feld—
Sharon was not present and e-mailed her no report to Jane
Paulette talked to Lynn today and got a report. They continue to raise money in donations for the
festival.
Paulette stated that she has the restaurant and food line up from the Chamber. There is a question
that the owner of GrillWorks also owns a Dairy Queen, wishes to serve DQ Blizzards. The
committee decided to deny the request to serve Blizzards as we already have a number of
restaurants serving ice cream.
There are a number of new restaurants this year including Granade Jakes, Buffalo Wings and
Rings, Cooper's Hawk, and Sherm's.
Lynn will be working with the restaurants, asking for some sort of coupon to give to residents
giving blood at the festival.
Food Tent: Steve Schultz/Sandi Carothers -
Steve stated that he sent out the letters to the not-for-profit group last month, asking each of
them to provide proof of their not-for-profit status. They are due back by the end of this week.
Thus far, he has received 2 of the 9 back. He will start making phone calls next week.
Setup/Take down: Steve Antman—
Steve stated that Indestructo has 22 inch fans that can be mounted on the tent pole, one at each
come, for $75 each. JV will talk to Bill Brimm about this.
Arts and Crafts: Jim Pawlak/Joan Pawlak -
Jim stated that they have 40 crafters so far.
Kids Craft Tent Betty Lou Manso:-
Betty Lou was not present. P
Paulette talked to her and she is working on it.
Grilling Challenge: Chuck Posniak/Murray Sprung
Chuck stated that he has lost Weber as a sponsor. Their business is down in the restaurants.
Chuck is looking for a replacement
Carnival: Debra Jess/Penni Jess -
Penni and Debra were not present.
Penni wrote up her report for Paulette.
The ride the Inverter will not interfere with any trees.
The slide is in the same place it has always been.
They are looking into a new ticket booth location. It may be moved closer to Mobile Com.
They are also looking at multiple options for the carnival office location.
The Bear-a-Dier show is not working so it will not be at BG Days.
When asked, Paulette stated that we do not have the ticket prices yet.
Entertainment: Karen Danenberg—
Karen stated that she is all booked.
She said that she will have the band Replay on Sunday night from 8:00 to 9:30 at the Rotary
Green before the fireworks. They will bring their own lights and sound equipment.
There will be 4 acts in the Beer Tent on Saturday, starting at 1:30 and 3 acts on Sunday starting
at 2 after the parade.
We will have Beetlejuice on stilts on Saturday and the pirate on stilts on Sunday.
Audio/Visual: Doug Primack/Adam Moodhe—
Doug stated that all of the contracts for the stage, the sound and the back line have been returned
to the Village.
Other than that, he has no report.
Publicity: Lori Hackett/Dan Olbur
Lori was not present but e-mailed her no report to Jane.

Glow Necklaces: Lori Hackett-
Lori was not present but e-mailed her no report to Jane.
VIP Party: Arlene Kozemzak/Pam Soracco —
Paulette announced that the VIP Party will be run by Arlene, Pam, Betty Lou and Mo.
Pam has no report.
Information Booth: Ken Lazar—
Ken was not present.
Iceman: Ron Jess
Ron was not present.
BG Juniors: Rhonda Norman -
Rhonda has no report.
Village Liaison: Bill Brimm—
Bill was not present.
Your 2 Cents Worth: All committee members
Paulette reminded everyone that if you need a name tag or either of the blue or tie dyed shirts, to
let her know so that she can order them.
Rhonda will look at her needs for the Juniors and let Paulette know.
Karen made a motion to adjourn. Sandy seconded the motion.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:40.
