Chairman's Report: JV Springman/Paulette Greenberg
The meeting was called to order at 7:08
JV stated that we start two meetings a month.
Paulette stated that commissioners for the committee have to be reappointed..
Officially, our commission expired the end of April with the end of Elliot's term.
Jeff re appointed everyone in the Village Board meeting the beginning of May.
Jeff has noted that our committee is the largest, with the greatest number of commissioners.
Paulette stated that we have a choice to resign the papers to be commissioners, where we have to
attend 75% of the meetings, or not sign the forms to be a volunteer only and can show up at the
last couple of meetings and work at the festival for whatever time and activity they wish.
Paulette stated that a commissioner is required to attended 75% of the meetings.
Paulette stated it is each member's choice of what you do. When questioned, Paulette confirmed
that you can still chair a sub committee and be a volunteer.
Paulette stated that if there is no decision by an individual, they will become a volunteer.
JV and Paulette have received official status from the state of Illinois to be co chairs of the
Buffalo Grove Days Festival.
Police: Scott Eisenmenger
Scott has no report.
Parade: Ken Lazar/Lee Orlov/Murray Sprung. Rodney Odelson
Rodney stated that applications will be going out tomorrow. They will give them to Jane Olson
tomorrow.
Rodney stated that he already has 4 in the parade.
Mobile Com: Roger Remblake
Roger has no report.
Fun and Food: Rick Kahen/Mara Sabath
Rick has no report.
Fire Department: George Michehl
George stated that the Fire Department will be there. There may be some changes in their
presence this year. They are working it out.
Park District: Teri Ebner
Teri was not present. She is present at the flag ceremony tonight_
Public Works: Dave Haisma/Brett Robinson
Dave was not present.
Trustee Liaison: DeAnn Glover
Steve said he was glad to be here and thanks for the hard work.
Chamber/Corporate Sponsorship Scott Fishkin
Alan stated that they have 7 1/2 booths and 17 restaurants.
They continue to raise money in corporate sponsorship/.
Food Tent: Sandi Carothers/Steve and Mari Antman -
Steve stated on May 25, the letters were sent out to not-for-profits. Four have responded back.
Steve said that in a couple weeks, he will request what food items they will be serving.
Event Setup/Take down: Ron Greco
Ron stated that he has the layout for the Food Tent from Steve.
JV will get a list of events to Ron.
Arts and Crafts: Jim Pawlak/Joan Pawlak -
Jim has no report.
Van Man: Eric Gordon
Eric stated that everything is fine.
Eric stated that to volunteer for the van, he will need a copy of your driver's license.
He will bring a schedule to pass around regarding times people will drive.
Kids Craft Tent:Betty Lou Manso/Debi Moritz
Betty Lou has no report.
BBQ Challenge: Chuck Posniak/Murray Sprung
Chuck stated that he has 5 gift cards as prizes.
Carnival: Debra Jess/Penni Raphaelson
Penni stated that they will have prices and ticket info next meeting.
They have passed out the layouts of carnival.
They were also concerned that in a booklet from village, the carnival was not mentioned as part of
the festival.
Entertainment: Karen Danenberg/Marlene Kozak
Karen stated that 3/4 done have contracts are out.
Karen stated that she needs a Main Stage sponsor. She has asked the Chamber who told her that
is not part of what they try to do. Karen stated that she needs to try to recoup soe money for
booking the acts.
Karen stated that she is still waiting for 15 contracts.
She is looking for $10,000 in sponsorship for the Main Stage.
Plugs and Wires: Doug Primack/Adam Moodhe
Doug stated that they need to know how many bands there will be for the Palooza portion of the
entertainment. When asked, Karen confirmed that the Palooza will play from 3:00 to 6:30. Each
act will play a maximum of 45 minutes each, but some will play only a half hour. Karen stated
that there will be no time in between acts. She said that $100 will put a single drum kit on
stage. No one will be bringing in drum kits.
If the band does not use a drum set, she will spilt the stage in half and do set up on one side with a
performance on the another side.
Karen stated that the sound contract on its way. The stage contract is already in.
Publicity: Alan Danenberg
Alan stated that they are working on putting the pieces together.
He said that they are looking for local advertising. He is asking the sub chairs for information
regarding their event and the team will writing things up.
He stated that he needs information from the parade Fun and Food , the van , the Kids Craft Tent,
the Carnival , the VIP party, and the barbecue challenge among others.

VIP Party: Judith Katz/Pam Soracco
Pam stated that Lynfred winery will be doing wine tasting at the VIP party.
Information Booth: Ken Lazar/Mo Welborn
Ken has no report.
Iceman: Ron Jess
Ron stated that he has no contract. He has asked twice for it.
BG Juniors: Rhonda Norman
Rhonda was not present.
Healthy Kids: Lori Hackett/Mari Antman
Lori stated that they are starting to make plans.
Village Liaison:
Scott has no report.
