Old Business: The Board discussed the issue of smoking in restaurants and
the need for requirements for providing a separate room with a separate
ventilation system in order to permit smoking in any restaurant. . Danny
Pomerantz stated that he felt that this issue was worthwhile in pursuing
again at this time. Several of the other members who were present the last
time this issue was discussed and presented to the Village Board for action,
explained why they felt the proposal had failed the last time. The Board of
Health felt that prior to pursuing a time consuming effort such as this, they
would need to determine if there was support from the Board of Trustees.
The Board of Health Liaison, Trustee Braiman, will be asked to informally
poll the Board of Trustees as to whether or not they would support such a
proposal.
There were no other questions, or comments.
The meeting adjourned at g:oo p.m.
Respectfully Submitted,
Brian Sheehan, Staff Liaison
