c. Green Fest: Peggy Starczowski and Commissioner Gould represented the
Board of Health at the first annual Green Fest on June 24th. They collected
batteries and cfls for recycling. The Fest was very well attended and even
though the medicine and sharps disposal programs are well publicized,
they still had many comments from residents that they didn't know about
them. That being said, we will continue to promote these programs.
Trustee Stein w ill include it in his report at the next Board meeting.
Commissioner Gould recommended that we have better signage for the
Green Fest for next year. Many people did not realize it was separate from
the Farmers Market. We will also need a canopy for next years Green
Fest.
