Richard Ellis, Management Company PETITIONER REQUEST Representatives of C.B. Richard Ellis, Management Company for Grove Point Shopping Center, have submitted plans to repaint the front facade of the shopping center. The goal is to match the colors of the adjacent Grove Shopping Center. The current powder blue facade color would be replaced with the following details: 1) Pac Clad Slate Grey - Custom Profile 2) EIFS (synthetic plaster) Powder Tan (dryvit) 3) EIFS (synthetic plaster) coffee milk (dryvit) 4) China white (dryvit) ART COMMENTS The proposed changes enhance the appearance of the center since they coincide with the appearance elements of the adjacent shopping center, anchored by Jewel-Osco. Overall, the changes "unify" the center. The EIFS does not meet the Appearance Plan requirements, although this material currently exists on the center and no additional material would be added. Approved as proposed. PETITIONER REQUEST Wercheck Builders have applied for a permit to construct two trash enclosures for Waterford Pointe, 1425-1431 McHenry Road. Ordinance 2002-49, Section 3A, requires Village approval for the construction and location of the trash enclosures for the office development. Plans were provided for Building No. Two identifying one trash enclosure. It was anticipated that the second trash enclosure would be placed in the mirrored location of the other office building. The Plans depict a 6' H x 10' x 19'2" trash enclosure; wood gate, primed and painted white; combination brick/block wall with limestone cap; face brick to match existing building. The location is proposed at the far northwest corner of the parking lot. The enclosure would eliminate two parking spaces. ART COMMENTS The location is not supported. The trash enclosure should be placed on the north side of the building, near the building, although not in view from office windows. The proposed face brick to match the existing building - in size and color- is supported. It was recommended that the landscape plan be reviewed to assure that landscaping, which may include evergreen tree and maple trees, are near the proposed trash enclosures. The trash enclosure for the second building is approved, provided it meets the requirements set forth herein. Approved as recommended.
