SUBJECT: Proposed medical office building, 313 Dundee Road,Buffalo Grove, IL
Dear Peter,
I have reviewed the site plan and building elevations sheet that you submitted on April 15, 2004
with Bill Balling, Village Manager and Greg Summers, Associate Planner. I also discussed the
site plan with Dick Kuenkler,Village Engineer.
Mr.Balling indicates that the two dormers proposed for the east roof are acceptable, but brick should
be used on the entire east wall of the building rather than fiber cement siding.Mr.Balling notes that
staff will approve the elevation if the brick is added. If you are not able to make this modification,
the revised building appearance will need to be presented to the Village Board and possibly to the
Appearance Review Team.
The locations of the 14VAC units along the east side of the building as depicted on the site plan are
acceptable, but we still need confirmation concerning the screening that will be provided for the
units.
Mr.Kuenkler indicates that a site plan with accurate north/south dimensions is necessary in order to
complete his review. I will send you a copy of site plan with notations concerning the dimensions
that Mr. Kuenkler has requested.
Please provide five copies of the revised building elevation(depicting brick on the east wall)and the
site plan with the dimensions noted by Mr. Kuenkler. The plans should be on standard plan sheets
(2406-inch) and should include a current revision date.
Sincerely,
Robert E. Pfeil,Village Planner
