SYSTEMATIC SEQUENCE
FOR PM ‘C’ INSPECTION
INCLUDES ALL ITEMS LISTED FOR PM ‘A’ or ‘B’ Service Level
1. Inspect alternator, test output voltage.
2. Inspect air compressor if equipped.
3. Spark plugs, if necessary replace and gap except platinum.
4. Distributor: a) If equipped, inspect contacts for corrosion and cap for cracks.
b) Inspect wiring condition.
c) Inspect for burning, or insulation cracks.
6. Electronic Ignition
a) Note CEL lamp, check for misfire history,
b) Inspect condition of components.
7. Emission Controls
a) Note CEL lamp, check for failure history,
b) Inspect condition of components.
7. Positive crankcase ventilator valve - remove, replace if necessary.
8. Cab hold-down - bolt insulators - inspect, tighten bolts if required.
9. Body mounts - tighten if required.
10. PTO - inspect for wear and lubricate pivot points.
