ORDINANCE NO. 2008—33
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, ILLINOIS
Land & Lakes property
Proposed River's Edge Landscape Facility,
21563 Milwaukee Avenue (IL State Route 21)
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove is a Home Rule Unit by virtue of the Illinois
Constitution of 1970; and,
WHEREAS, the property legally described on Exhibit A(the "East Parcel") was annexed
to the Village of Buffalo Grove by Ordinance No. 2008-32 pursuant to a written Annexation
Agreement dated June 2, 2008, and approved by the Village by Ordinance No. 2008-31; and,
WHEREAS, notices of public hearings for annexation of the East Parcel, rezoning of the
East Parcel into the Industrial District, the granting of a special-use to operate a Landscape
Waste Transfer Station on the East Parcel, and preliminary plan approval and variations for the
East Parcel,were given and the public hearings were held;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS:
Sectional 1. The Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Buffalo Grove, Cook
and Lake Counties, Illinois, as amended, is hereby further amended by classifying the East
Parcel into the Industrial District.
Section 2. Development and use of the East Parcel shall be in compliance with the
Annexation Agreement dated June 2, 2008, and approved by the Village by Ordinance No.
2008-31.
Section 3. The Village hereby approves a special use to operate a Landscape Waste
Transfer Station on the East Parcel.
Section 4. The Village hereby approves the "East Parcel Preliminary Plan" (as defined in
the Annexation Agreement) for the operation of a Landscape Waste Transfer Station on the East
Parcel.
Section 5. The Village hereby approves the zoning variations and development
variations identified in Section 31.0 of the Annexation Agreement.
Section 6. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect on and after its passage and
approval according to law.
