ORDINANCE NO. 93- 12
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AN
AGREEMENT WITH CDW COMPUTER CENTERS INC.
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove is a Home Rule Unit
pursuant to the Illinois Constitution of 1970 .
WHEREAS, CDW Computer Centers, Inc . ( "CDW") is desirous of
relocating its corporate headquarters, telemarketing center, and
other aspects of its selling, retailing, configuring of personal
computers and peripherals business to the Village of Buffalo
Grove, and;
WHEREAS, CDW has represented that in order to relocate its
business to the Village it requires economic assistance from the
Village in order to complete said relocation in an optimal
fashion, and, but for the economic assistance from the Village,
the relocation as contemplated would not be economically viable
nor eligible for the investment necessary for its completion,
and;
WHEREAS, the Village is desirous of having CDW relocate its
business to the Village in order to service the needs of the
Village and its residents . Said relocation will increase the
Village' s tax base and increase employment opportunities in the
Village, and, in furtherance thereof, the Village is willing to
grant certain incentives to CDW.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE
COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows :
Section 1. The foregoing Whereas clauses are hereby incor-
porated herein.
Section 2 . The Village President and Village Clerk are
hereby authorized to execute the "Agreement Between The Village
Of Buffalo Grove and CDW Computer Centers, Inc . " , a copy of which
is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" .
Section 3 . This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval . This ordinance shall
not be codified.
