1977-007 ORDINANCE NO. 77- 7
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE
VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE (COMMONLY KNOWN AS ZALE/
HOFFMAN ANNEXATION)
WHEREAS , as written petition under oath signed by the owner
of record of the land hereinafter described (there being two electors
residing thereon both of whom have signed an annexation petition)
has been filed with the Village Clerk of the Village of Buffalo Grove
requesting that said land be annexed to the Village of Buffalo Grove ;
and
WHEREAS, said land is not within the corporate limits of any
municipality, and is contiguous to the Village of Buffalo Grove ; and
WHEREAS, it is considered in the best interest of the Village
of Buffalo Grove to annex said property to the Village ; and
WHEREAS, Statuary Notice has been given to the public authorities
and municipal entities .
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE , COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS :
SECTION 1 . The property hereinafter described is annexed to
the Village of Buffalo Grove , Cook and Lake Counties , Illinois .
That part of the South half of Section 28 and the North half of
Section 33 , Township 43 North, Range 11 , East of the third principal
meridian described as follows :
Beginning at the Northwest corner of the East half of the Northwest
quarter of Section 33-43-11 ; thence N 89' 48 ' 21" East along the
North line of the East half of the said Northwest quarter a distance
of 330 . 00 feet ; thence North 00' 04 ' OS" East a distance of 1324 . 41 feet
to a point on the centerline of Busch Road; thence Easterly along said
centerline of Busch Road to an angle point , said point being on the
North-South centerline of Section 28-43-11 ; thence continuing Easterly
along said centerline of Busch Road to the point of intersection with
the centerline Weiland Road; thence South 3° 38 ' 05" West along the
centerline of Weiland Road a distance of 1341 . 16 feet ; thence South 40'
38 ' 29" West along said centerline a distance of 314 . 16 feet ; thence
South 000 101 47" West along said centerline a distance of 973. 36 feet
to a point on the South line of the Northwest quarter of the Northeast
quarter of Section 33-43-11 ; thence South 89' 51 ' 19" West along

said South line a distance of 14 . 78 feet ; thence South 170 02 ' 45"
West along the centerline of Weiland Road a distance of 816 . 28
feet ; thence South 89° 49" 40" West along the South line of the
North 34 . 30 feet of the South 580 . 08 feet of the North half of
Section 33 a distance of 1907 . 98 feet to a point ; thence South
00' 04 ' 40" West a distance of 545 . 78 feet to a point on the South
line of the Northwest quarter of Section 33-43-11 ; thence Westerly
along said South line a distance of 490 . 00 feet to a point on the
West line of the East half of the Northwest quarter of Section
33-43-11 ; thence North 00' 04 ' 40" East along said West line a distance
of 2651 . 72 feet to the point of beginning together with those parts
of Busch Road and Weiland Road adjoining the above described property
and not heretofore annexed by any municipality, all in Lake County
Illinois . (This property is commonly described as being located at the
intersection of Busch Road at Weiland . )
SECTION 2 . An accurate Plat of said land is attached hereto
and made a part hereof as Exhibit A.
SECTION 3 . The annexation shall be and is subject to the
provisions of Ordinance No . 77- 6 being an Ordinance Approving
an Annexation Agreement , passed and approved the 14th day of
February , 1977 , which Ordinance is on file with the
Village Clerk and is part of the public records of the Village .
SECTION 4 . The Village Clerk of the Village of Buffalo
Grove is hereby directed to file in the office of the Recorder of
Deeds of Lake County, Illinois , a copy of this ordinance , together
with an accurate map of the territory annexed .
SECTION 5 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by
law.
