ORDINANCE NO, 89- 39
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY
TO THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, ILLINOIS
(Weiland Road Parcel, Adjacent to Highland Point, Unit t7)
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove is a Home Rule Unit
pursuant to the Illinois Constitution of 1970; and,
WHEREAS, the following legally described unincorporated
territory, containing 60 acres or less is wholly bounded by the
Village of Buffalo Grove; and,
WHEREAS, notice of the proposed annexation of such territory
has been given the appropriate authorities; and,
WHEREAS, notice of the proposed annexation of such territory
has been published pursuant to Section 7-1-13 of the Illinois
Municipal Code (Illinois' Revised Statutes, 1987, Ch. 24, Par.
7-1-13); and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK and LAKE COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS:
Section 1 . That. the following legally described real
property be and hereby is annexed to the Village of Buffalo
Grove:
That part of the Northeast quarter ur ?.he 11UXLhcaok
quarter of Section 33, Township 43 North, Range 11 East
of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:
Beginning at a Point in the West line of said quarter-
quarter section that is 646.79 feet north of the
Southwest corner thereof, said point being the
intersection with a straight line drawn from a point on
the South line of the Northwest quarter of the
Northeast quarter of said Section 33 that is 112.45
feet west of the Southeast corner thereof (said point
also being on the Westerly line of Weiland Road as
dedicated by Highland Grove Unit Number 3, being a
Subdivision recorded April 7, 1978 as Document 1908909
in Lake County, Illinois) to a point on the North line
of the aforesaid Northeast quarter of the Northeast
quarter of Section 33 that is 118.05 feet east of the
Northwest corner thereof (said line being the Westerly
right-of-way line of County Highway 73 as proposed) ;
thence northeasterly along said proposed right-of-way
line 432. 05 feet to its intersection with the old
centerline of •Weiland Road; thence southwesterly along
said centerline 113.27 feet to its intersection with
the West line of said Northeast quarter of the
Northeast quarter of Section 33; thence south along
said West line 339.92 feet to the point of beginning in
Lake County, Illinois, except the Westerly 33 feet
thereof.
A true and correct map of said real property shall be attached
hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit A.
Section 2. The Village Clerk of the Village of Buffalo
Grove is hereby directed to cause to be filed in the Office of
the Recorder of Deeds of Lake County, a copy of this Ordinance
and an accurate map of the territory annexed.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
on and after its passage and approval and according to law, This
Ordinance shall not be codified.
