ORDINANCE NO. 97-81
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY
TO THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, ILLINOIS
Missner Development Corporation
(Nine-acre parcel on Hastings Drive north of
the Chevy Chase Business Park-West)
WHEREAS, the Village.of Buffalo_Grove is a Home Rule Unit by virtue of the----
Illinois Constitution of 1970; and,
WHEREAS, a written petition signed by the owners of record of all of the
land in the territory hereinafter described, requesting the annexation of such
territory to the Village of Buffalo Grove, has been filed with the Village Clerk of the
Village of Buffalo Grove; and,
WHEREAS, said territory is not within the corporate limits of any
municipality, but is contiguous to the Village of Buffalo Grove; and,
WHEREAS, notice of the proposed annexation of such territory has been
given to the appropriate authorities; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the Village of Buffalo Grove that such
territory be annexed to the Village of Buffalo Grove.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS:
Section 1 . That the real property legally described in Exhibit A attached
hereto be and hereby is annexed to the Village of Buffalo Grove. A true and correct

SUBJECT PROPERTY LEGAL DESCRIPTION: That part of the north %of the
southwest '/4 of Section 34,Township 43 North,Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian,
lying west of the westerly right-of-way line of the Minneapolis, St. Paul and Saulte Ste. Marie
Railroad, falling within the following described property: that part of Sections 34 and 35,
Township 43 North, Range 11 East, East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:
beginning at a point on the east line of the west ''/2 of the southwest %4 of Section 34 aforesaid
27.48 chains (1813.68 feet)north of the southeast corner thereof; thence north 87 degrees, 45
minutes east along a line which if extended easterly would intersect the east line of the southeast
'/4 of Section 35 aforesaid at a point 447.63 feet south of the northeast corner thereof, 6270.50
feet, more or less, to the center line of Milwaukee Avenue, as paved; thence northwesterly along
said center line 383.87 feet; thence south 88 degrees, 10 minutes, 45 seconds west 6113.15 feet
to a point on the east line of the west ''/2 of the southwest '/4 of Section-3 4 aforesaid, 402.70 feet
north of the point of beginning; thence continuing south 88 degrees, 10 minutes,45 seconds west
166.30 feet ; thence south 0 degrees, 10 minutes east 404.10 feet to a point south 87 degrees, 45

Section 2. The Village Clerk of the Village of Buffalo Grove is hereby
directed to cause to be filed in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of Lake County
a copy of this Ordinance with an accurate map of the territory annexed.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect on and after its
passage and approval. This Ordinance shall not be codified.
