1985-076 ORDINANCE NO. 85- 76 II AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove is a Home Rule Unit pursuant to the Illinois Constitution of 1970 ; and, WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo G rove has received a written petition, pursuant to Section 7-1-12 of the Illinois Municipal Code (Illinois Revised Statutes, 1983, Ch. 24, Par . 7-1-13) , signed by a majority of the owners of the following described unincorporated territory; and WHEREAS, said territory is wholly bounded by the Village of Long Grove and the Village of Buffalo Grove; and WHEREAS, said territory does not exceed one-third (1/3) the area of the Village of Buffalo Grove before this annexation; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 17. 60 . 03 of the Village of Buffalo Grove Zoning Ordinance newly annexed land is automatically, upon annexation, classified as within the R-E One Family Dwelling District. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the following legally described real property be and hereby is annexed to the Village of Buffalo Grove : Lot 1 of the South West quarter of Section 30 , Township 43 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, and also that part of the North West quarter of the South East quarter of Section 30 , Township 43 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows : Begin- ning at the North West corner of the said North West quarter of the South East quarter of Section 30, thence Easterly along the North line of the said North West quarter of the South East quarter of Section 30 a distance of 214. 8 feet; thence Southerly along the East line of the said West 214. 8 feet of the North West quarter of the South East quarter of Section 30 to the point of intersection thereof with the center line of Buffalo Creek ; thence meandering Easterly and Southerly along the center line of said Buffalo Creek to the point of intersection of the said center line of Buffalo Creek with the South line of the said North West quarter of L.�%TlL t,.;U111 1, I!_LI IVU[) i385 NOV 13 PM 1: 20 of the said North West quarter o - ,�, j� uarter a distance of 430.0 feet to the West line (bfhe said North West quarter of the South East quarter of Section 30 , said point also being on the East line of said Lot 1 of the South West quarter of Section 30; thence Northerly along the East line of said Lot 1 of the South West quarter of Section 30 to the point of beginning, all in Lake County, Illinois. A true and correct map of said real property is attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A" . Section 2. The Village Clerk of the Village of Buffalo Grove is hereby directed to cause to be filed in the Office of the Recorded of Deeds of Lake County, a copy of this Ordinance with an accurate map of the territory annexed. Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect on and after its passage and approval. This Ordinance shall not be codified.
