1977-026 ORDINANCE NO. 77 - 26
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN
TERRITORY TO THE VILLAGE OF
BUFFALO GROVE (Green-Mueller)
WHEREAS, written petitions signed by the owners of
record of all of the land in the territory hereinafter described,
requesting the annexation of such territory to the Village of
Buffalo Grove, has been filed with the Village Clerk of the
Village of Buffalo Grove; and
WHEREAS, said territory is not within the corporate
limits of any municipality, but is contiguous to the Village of
Buffalo Grove; and
WHEREAS, such territory has no electors residing therein;
and
WHEREAS, notice of the proposed annexation of such
territory has been given to the Vernon Township Rural Fire
Protection District, the Vernon Area Library District, the
Vernon Township Highway Commission, the Vernon Township Board
of Auditors , and the Indian Trails Public Library District, as
provided by law, a copy of which Notice has been recorded in
the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of Lake County, Illinois ; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the Village
of Buffalo Grove that such territory be annexed to the Village
of Buffalo Grove,
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND
LAKE COUNTIES , ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1 : That the territory described as :
Lots 1, 2 and 3 in Holub' s Farm Subdivision, being a
Subdivision of parts of the North West quarter and the South West
quarter of Section 28 and part of the North East Quarter of
Section 29, Township 43 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian, according to the plat thereof, recorded December 23, 1955,
as Document 893038, in Book 33 of Plats , page 71 , in Lake County,
Illinois .
and
The South West quarter of the North East quarter of Section 29
Township 43 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian,
(except the West 575. 0 feet thereof) , in Lake County, Illinois

The North West quarter of the South East quarter of Section 29,
Township 43 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian,
(except the West 575. 0 feet thereof) , in Lake County, Illinois

That part of the South East quarter of the North East quarter
of Section 29, Township 43 North, Range 11 , East of the Third
Principal Meridian, bounded by a line described as follows :
Commencing at the North West corner of said quarter quarter
Section; thence East along the North line thereof, 37 1/3 rods to
a point 42 2/3 rods West of the North East corner thereof; thence
South parallel with the East line of said quarter quarter Section,
60 rods , more or less , to a point 20 rods North of the South line
of said quarter quarter Section; thence West parallel with the
South line of said quarter quarter Section 37 1/3 rods to the
West line thereof; thence North along said West line 60 rods to
the place of beginning, in Lake County, Illinois

quarter of Section 29, Township 43 North, Range 11 , East of
the Third Principal Meridian, (except the East 1053. 01 feet thereof) ,
in Lake County, Illinois

The North East quarter of the South East quarter of Section 29 ,
Township 43 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian,
(except the East 1053 . 01 feet thereof) , in Lake County, Illinois
be and it is hereby annexed to the Village of Buffalo Grove. A
true and correct map of said territory is attached hereto and
made part of this Ordinance.
SECTION 2 : The Village Clerk of the Village of
Buffalo Grove is hereby directed to cause to be filed in the
office of the Recorder of Deeds of Lake County , a copy of this
Ordinance with an accurate map of the territory annexed.
SECTION 3 : This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from an a ter its passage and approval as provided by law.
