AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO
THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE
WHEREAS, a Petition signed by all of the property
owners and electors of certain parcels of land has been pre-
sented to the President and Board ofTrustees of the Village
of Buffalo Grove, and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the Village,
is not in any other city, village or incorporated town, and
WHEREAS, upon due consideration, it is considered to
the best interest of the Village to annex said land.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, -Qm° , ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The following described parcel of land,
being the subject of the petition to annex, which said petition
has been signed by all of the owners and electors of said land
and complies with the provisions of the Statutes of the State
of Illinois, is hereby annexed to the Village of Buffalo Grove,
Y. Illinois:
"That part of the Southwest 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4
of Section 29, Township 43 North, Range 11 East of
the Third Principal Meridian described as follows:
Commencing at a point in the West line of said
quarter quarter section, 90.0 feet North of the
Southwest corner thereof; thence East parallel to
the South line of said quarter quarter section,
443.5 feet; thence North, parallel to the West
line of said quarter quarter section, 502.0 feet;
thence Northeasterly 167.7 feet to a point in the
center line of State Route No. 83 (State Aid Route
16) which is 914.6 feet Northwesterly from the
point of intersection of said center line with the
South line of said quarter quarter section (measured
along said center line) thence Northwesterly along
said center line 788.9 feet to the point of inter-
section of said center line with the West line of
said quarter quarter section; thence South, along
the West line of said quarter quarter section,
1147.5 feet to the place of beginning, in Lake
County, Illinois,

thereof lying Northeasterly of public highway
known as State Aid Route No. 16 as shown on Plat
of Survey recorded November 5, 1931, as Document
Number 374979, in Book 'W' of Plats, page 21,
described as follows: Commencing at the point of
intersection of the center line of State Route 83
with the South line of said quarter quarter Sec-
tion; thence West along the said South line,
1162.4 feet to the Southwest corner thereof;
thence North along the west line of said quarter
quarter' Section, 90.0 feet; thence East parallel
to the said South line, 677.5 feet; thence
deflecting left 15 degrees from the last described
line extended, 126.4 feet; thence deflecting left
13 degrees 30 minutes from the last described line
extended, 203.1 feet to a point in the center line
of said State Route 83, 286.1 feet Northwesterly
(measured along the said center line) from the
place of beginning; thence Southeasterly, along
the said center line 286.1 feet to the place of
beginning, in Lake County, Illinois . Also: The
West 1/2 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 32,
Township 43 North, Range 11 East of the Third
Principal Meridian, (except that part thereof
lying Northeasterly of State Aid Route No. 16
aforesaid) , in Lake County, Illinois,

That part lying Southwesterly of the center line
of State Route No. 54 (now known as State Route
No. 83) of the following described premises (taken
as a tract) , to-wit: The East 1/2 of the Northeast
1/4 of Section 32, Township 43 North, Range 11 East
of the Third Prindpal Meridian (except that part
thereof lying Northerly of line extending from a
point 120 .10 feet Southeasterly of the most Northerly
point of the above described land, said Northerly
point being at the intersection of the center line
of said Route No. 83 and the West line of said East
1/2 of said Northeast 1/4 of Section 32, and extending
Westerly to a point on the West line of said East 1/2
of the Northeast 1/4 of said Section 32, 1168.75 feet
South of the most Northerly point of the above
described land); and that part of the Southwest 1/4

West 39 links to the angle in the road; thence South
7 degrees East, 13.24 chains to the half section line;

Road as per Plat recorded April 9, 1942 as Document
Number 511635 described as follows: Commencing at
the intersection of the center lines of the afore-
said Route 83 and Buffalo Grove Road; thence Southerly
along the center line of said Buffalo Grove Road a
distance of 72.0 feet; thence Westerly along a line
Sbrming an angle of 87 degrees 30 minutes to the right
with a prolongation of the last described line a
distance of 222.57 feet; thence Northerly along a line
forming an angle of 90 degrees to the right with a
prolongation of the last described line a distance of
119.10 feet; thence Northeasterly along a line to a
point in the center line of said Route 83, said point
being 162.E+5 feet Northwesterly (as measured along
said center line) of the intersection of said Route
83 and Buffalo Grove Road; thence Southeasterly along
the center line of said Route 83, 162.45 feet to the
place of beginning, all in Lake County, Illinois,
and
That part of the East 1/2 of the Northeast 1/4 of
Section 32, and that part of the West 1/2 of the
Northwest 1/4 of Section 33, all in Township 43
North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian
lying Southwesterly of the center line of State Aid
Route 16 (Illinois Route 83) as per Plat recorded
November 5, 1931, as Document Number 374979 and
Westerly of the center line of Buffalo Grove Road
as per Plat recorded April 9, 1942 as Document Number
511635 described as follows: Commencing at the inter-
section of the center lines of the aforesaid Route 83
and Buffalo Grove Road; thence Southerly along the
center line of said Buffalo Grove Road, a distance
of 72.0 feet; thence Westerly along a line forming
an angle of 87 degrees 30 minutes to the right with
a prolongation of the last described line a distance
of 222.57 feet; thence Northerly along a line forming
an angle of 90 degrees to the right with a prolonga-
tion of the last described line a distance of 119.10
feet; thence Northeasterly along a line to a point
in the center line of said Route 83, said point being
162 .45 feet Northwesterly (as measured along said
center line) of the intersection of said Route 83 and
Buffalo Grove Road; thence Southeasterly along the
center line of said Route 83, 162.45 feet to the place
of beginning, in Lake County, Illinois ."
SECTION TWO: A plat of said land is attached to this
ordinance and made a part hereof.

attached and foregoing is a true and correct copy entrusted
to my care for safekeeping and is now on file in my office,
and that I am the keeper of the records, entries, ordinances,
resolutions, papers, books and the corporate seal of the
Village of Buffalo Grove, Illinois.
I DO FURTHER CERTIFY that the vote upon the passage
of said ordinance was taken by Ayes and Nays and so entered
upon the legislative records of the Village Board of said
Village of Buffalo Grove, and that said ordinance received
the necessary majority of the corporate authorities' vote for
its adoption.
