ORDINANCE NO. 77-29
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE
VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, ILLINOIS (Falcon)
WHEREAS, a written petition signed by the owners of record of all
of the land in the territory hereinafter described, requesting the annexation
of such territory to the Village of Buffalo Grove, has been filed with the
Village Clerk of the Village of Buffalo Grove; and
WHEREAS, said territory is not within the corporate limits of
any municipality, but is contiguous to the Village of Buffalo Grove; and
WHEREAS, such territory has no electors residing therein ; and
WHEREAS, notice of the proposed annexation of such territory has
been given the the Wheeling Township Rural Fire Protection District, the
Wheeling Township Highway Commission, the Wheeling Township Board of Auditors,
and the Indian Trails Public Library District, as provided by law, a copy of
which Notice has been recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook
County, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the Village of Buffalo Grove
that such territory be annexed to the Village of Buffalo Grove,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1 : That the territory described as:
The North 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4, except that part
lying East of the center line of Arlington Heights
Road and except the South 3/8 thereof, of Section 6,
Township 42 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal
Meridian, Cook County, Illinois ,
be it and it is hereby annexed to the Village of Buffalo Grove. A true
and correct map of said territory is attached hereto and made a part of this
Ordinance.
SECTION 2: The Village Clerk of the Village of Buffalo Grove is
hereby directed to cause to be filed in the office of the Recorder of Deeds
of Cook Cnuntv_ a cnnv of this Ordinance with an accurate man of the territory
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval as provided by law.
