1987-075 ORDINANCE NO. 87- 75
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR
THE SALE OF CERTAIN REAL ESTATE
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove is a Home Rule Unit
pursuant to the Illinois Constitution of 1970;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the Corporate Authorities of the Village of
Buffalo Grove are of the opinion and find that the following
described real estate:
Lot 3 and Lot 4 both in Block 9 in Unit No. 4,
Columbian Gardens, being a subdivision of part of the
South East 1/4 and part of the East 1/2 of the South
West 1/4 of Section 34, Township 43 North, Range 11,
East of the Third Principal Meridian, according to the
Plat thereof recorded June 26, 1929, as Document
339091, in Book "T" of Plats, pages 84 and 85, in Lake
County, Illinois,
and
Lot 34 in Block 9 in Unit No. 4, Columbian Gardens,
being a subdivision of part of the South East 1/4 and
part of the East 1/2 of the South West 1/4 of Section
34, Township 43 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, according to the Plat thereof
recorded June 26, 1929, as Document 339091, in Book "T"
of Plats, pages 84 and 85, in Lake County, Illinois,
which is presently owned by the Village of Buffalo Grove and is
vacant and unimproved, is no longer necessary, appropriate,
required for the use of, profitable to or for the best interests
of the Village of Buffalo Grove.
Section 2 . That said legally described real estate shall be
sold pursuant to this ordinance, and Sections 11-76-1 and
11-76-2 of Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes and that
notice of the proposal to sell shall be published according to
said statutes.
Section 3 . The terms of the sale are as follows:
A. Said real estate shall be sold as a tract .

penalties and interest whether sold in arrears, unpaid or
current .
D. Purchaser shall reimburse the Village for its costs
of acquisition, for expenses and attorneys ' fees incurred as
a result of said acquisition and this sale.
E. Real estate shall only be utilized for development
pursuant to that certain Preliminary Plan entitled "Chevy
Chase Business Park West" dated as last revised May 4, 1987,
and approved by the Corporate Authorities of the Village on
May 18, 1987. Any bid submitted shall evidence that the
foregoing requirement shall be met.
F. The sale shall be consummated by Quit Claim Deed.
Section 4. The Corporate Authorities may accept the high
bid or any other bid determined to be in the best interests of
the Village or they may reject any and all bids.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
upon its passage and approval. This Ordinance shall not be
codified.
