AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE,
COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS

WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove is a Home Rule Unit by virtue
of the Illinois Constitution of 1970; and,
WHEREAS, the hereinafter legally described real property was annexed
to the Village of Buffalo Grove by Ordinance No. 83- 15 pursuant to a written
Annexation Agreement dated March 21 , 1983, and approved by the Village by
Ordinance No. 83- 14 ; and,
WHEREAS, notices of public hearings for zoning and annexation on said
Annexation Agreement have been given and public hearings were held.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1. The Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Buffalo
Grove, Cook and Lake Counties, Illinois, as amended is hereby further amended
by classifying upon annexation the territory hereinafter legally described into
the I (Industrial) District:
THAT PART OF SECTION 34, TOWNSHIP 43 NORTH, RANGE 11, EAST OF THE
THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, AND SECTION 3, TOWNSHIP 42 NORTH, RANGE
11, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
COPMMEENCING AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE EAST HALF OF THE SOUTH-
WEST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 34 AND RUNNING EAST ALONG THE SOUTH
LINE OF SAID SOUTHWEST QUARTER A DISTANCE OF 50.0 FEET TO THE
SOUTHERLY EXTENSION OF THE EAST LINE OF WHEELING AVENUE AS SHOWN
ON THE PLAT OF COLUMBIAN GARDENS UNIT 4, BEING A SUBDIVISION ACCORD-
ING TO THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED JUNE 26, 1929 AS DOCUMENT 339091
IN LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS ALSO BEING THE PLACE OF BEGINNING OF THE
TRACT HEREIN INTENDED TO BE DESCRIBED: THENCE NORTH ALONG THE EAST
LINE OF SAID WHEELING AVENUE TO THE NORTH LINE OF WEST DRIVE IN
COLUMBIAN GARDENS UNIT 4: THENCE EASTERLY ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF
SAID WEST DRIVE TO THE NORTHERLY EXTENSION OF THE EASTERLY LINE OF
HUNTLY ROAD IN COLUMBIAN GARDENS UNIT 4: THENCE SOUTHERLY ALONG
SAID EASTERLY LINE OF ITS EXTENSION TO THE SOUTHERLY LINE OF LINDEN
AVENUE IN COLUMBIAN GARDENS UNIT 4: THENCE WESTERLY ALONG THE
SOUTHERLY LINE OF SAID LINDEN AVENUE TO THE WESTERLY LINE OF AFORE-
SAID HUNTLY ROAD EXTENDED SOUTHERLY: THENCE SOUTHERLY ON THE WEST-
ERLY LINE OF SAID HUNTLY ROAD EXTENDED TO THE SOUTH LINE OF LAKE COOK
ROAD: THENCE WEST ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID LAKE COOK ROAD TO
THE EAST LINE OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 3, TOWNSHIP 42
NORTH, RANGE 11: THENCE NORTH ALONG THE EAST LINE OF THE NORTHWEST
QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 3 TO THE NORTHEAST CORNER THEREOF: THENCE
WEST ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF SAID SECTION 3 TO THE PLACE OF BEGINNING

(EXCEPTING THEREFROM LOT 31 IN BLOCK 1, LOT 10, IN BLOCK 6,
LOTS 5 AND 6 IN BLOCK 7, LOTS 39 41 32, AND 34 IN BLOCK 9 OF
COLUMBIAN GARDENS UNIT 4 AND ALSO EXCEPT THAT PART OF SAID WEST
DRIVE LYING NORTH OF AFORESAID LOTS 3 AND 4 IN BLOCK 9 OF COLUM-
BIAN GARDENS UNIT 4) , AND TO THE FAR SIDE OF ANY ADJACENT HIGHWAY
AND ALL HIGHWAYS WITHIN SAID AREA, IN LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS.
SECTION 2. The said zoning shall be and is subject to the provisions
of Ordinance No. 83- 14 , being "An Ordinance Approving an Annexation Agreement"
passed and approved March 21, 1983, which Ordinance is by reference made a part
hereof.
S CTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect on and
after its passage and approval. This Ordinance shall not be codified.
