An Ordinance Providing for
The Ac uisition of Land in Lake Count
Whereas, the Village of Buffalo Grove is a Home Rule Unit
pursuant to the Illinois Constitution of 1970 .
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES ,
ILLINOIS , THAT:
Section 1: The real estate hereinafter described is
hereby determined to be useful, advantageous, necessary or
desirable and in the best public interest to be acquired by the
Village of Buffalo Grove for municipal purposes.
Section 2: It is hereby determined that the fee
simple title to the real estate hereinafter described be acquired
and be used, occupied and developed for those purposes as set
forth in Section 1 hereof.
Section 3: That the real estate hereinafter described
is privately owned and is legally described as follows:
Parcel 1: That part of the South West Quarter of Section 33,
Township 43 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Merid-
ian, described as follows: Beginning on the South line of said
South West Quarter of Section 33 at a point 952.6 feet West from
the South East corner thereof; thence North 9 degrees 37 1/2
minutes West along the Center Line tangent and center line of
State Route No. 83, 508 feet to the South East corner and point
of beginning of this description; thence West parallel to the
South line of said South West quarter of Section 33 , 280 feet;
thence North 9 degrees 37 1/2 minutes West parallel to the center
line of State Route No. 83, 200 feet thence East 280 feet to the
center of State Route No. 83; thence South 9 degrees 37 1/2
minutes East 200 feet to the place of beginning, in Lake County,
Illinois.
Parcel 2: That part of the South West Quarter of Section 33,
Township 43 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Merid-
ian, .described as beginning on the South Line of said South West
Quarter, Section 33 at a point 952.6 feet West from the South
East corner of said South West Quarter of Section 33; thence
North 9 degrees 37 1/2 minutes West along the center line tangent
and center line of State Route No. 83 , 708 feet to the South East
corner and place of beginning of this description; thence West
parallel to the South line of the South West Quarter of Section
South West Quarter of Section 33 at a point 952.6 feet West from
the South East corner thereof; thence North 9 degrees 37 1/2
minutes West along the Center Line tangent and center line of
State Route No. 83, 708 feet; thence West parallel to the South
line of said South West Quarter of Section 33, 220 feet to the
South East corner and point of beginning of this description;
thence West 60 feet; thence North 9 degrees 37 1/2 minutes West
212 feet; thence East 60 feet; thence South 9 degrees 37 1/2
minutes East 212 feet to the place of beginning, in Lake County,
Illinois.
Section 4 : That William Raysa, Attorney for the
Village of Buffalo Grove, or William Balling, Village Manager of
the Village of Buffalo Grove, and Marc K. Schwartz , Counsel for
the Village of Buffalo Grove, be and hereby are authorized,
empowered and directed to cause said property to be appraised by
independent qualified real estate appraisers, to determine title
to said real estate, to cause said real estate to be surveyed,
bored or platted as may be necessary, to offer to purchase said
property from the owner or owners thereof and otherwise to
attempt to agree on behalf of the Village of Buffalo Grove with
the owner or owners of the lands hereinbefore described for the
purchase thereof by the Village of Buffalo Grove.
Section 5: That in the event the compensation to be
paid for said parcel of land cannot be agreed upon with the owner
or owners of said land, or in the event the owner or persons with
interest of title cannot be located, or ascertained, then William
Raysa, Attorney for the Village of Buffalo Grove, and Marc K.
Schwartz, Counsel for the Village of Buffalo Grove, shall be, and
they are hereby authorized, instructed and directed to institute
and maintain in the name of and on behalf of the Village of
Buffalo Grove, in a court of competent jurisdiction such proceed-
ings as may be applicable, for the condemnation of said parcel of
property or such part or parts thereof as may not have been
acquired by purchase.
Section 6 : All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby

effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
