ORDINANCE NO. 0-61- 10
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO, 0-6 1-7 BEING THE
BUFFALO GROVE ZONING ORDINANCE PASSED AND APPROVED
MARCH 230 1961,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS, the Village recently aznmexed a parcel of
ground which is east of Buffalo Grove Road and northeasterly
of the north line of the old Village limits, and
WNEAEAS, under the existing zoning ordinance the said
annexed area is automatically zoned as "R-11' Single Family
Residential District, and
W&REAS, prior to annexation the area involved is
now and has been fov' some tim improved with a tavern, dance'
and Ming hall wad picnic recreation facilities and
annexation was contingent upon maintaining use of said premises
for such purposes, and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Commission after due notice and
public hearing in accordance with the Statute, has recommended
that the area annexed be classified as "B-1" Business District
Limited Retail, with special uses, and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees has
Single Family Residential District Would deprive the owner of
his right to make the best use thereof, and by rezoning same
with Special uses the same will not be detrimental to the
Public interests and the maintenance of the existing use is
desirable, and
WHEREAS, after due consideration it is determined
that it is to the best interest of the Village to rezone the
annexed area.
THE BUFFALO GROVE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE
IS AMENDED AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1. The following described property is
hereby zoned "B-11' Business District , Limited Retail
That part of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 4, Township
42 Korth, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian in the Town of Wheeling described as follows :
Commencing at a point in the middle of McHenry Road
175 feet South at an angle of 340 30' East of the
intersection of the North line of Section 4, described
hereinafter as the center line of McHenry Road,
running thence South at 340 30' East along center
line of McHenry Road, 405 feet, thence North at an
angle of 550 30' East 426 feet, thence north at an
angle of 240 07 ' West 88 feet thence North at an
angle 850 48' West 241 feet thence North at an angle
380 40' West 65 feet, thence South at an angle 790
00' West 272 feet to the point of beginning, in Cook
County, Illinois.
Section 20 Pursuant to Article VI of the Buffalo
Grove Zoning Ordinance the said are& shall be permitted a
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full foroa
and effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication according to law,
