LIQUOR CONTROLS. OF THE BUFFALO GROVE MUNICIPAL CODE WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove is a Home Rule Unit pursuant to the Illinois Constitution of 1970; and WHEREAS, a request has been made to the Village to allow the service of beer and wine to invited guests to art showings. A new Village Class G7 liquor license would need to be created to allow address the foregoing request; and WHEREAS, the Class G5 liquor license needs to be changed to from the sale of beer and wine to the sale of alcoholic liquor. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINIED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows: Section 1. The foregoing recitals are hereby adopted and incorporated into and made a part of this Ordinance as if fully set forth herein. Section 2. Subsection G.7. is hereby added to Section 5.20.070, Licenses- Classifications-Fees, of the Buffalo Grove Municipal Code to read as follows: 5.20.070 License-Classifications-Fees G. Class G licenses are divided into the following classes: 7. Class G7 license. authorizing the dispensing free of charge of beer and wine for cojisuml2tion on the prernises owned or leased and occupied by the licensee. Class G7 licenses shall be subject to the following conditions and limitations: a. Drain Shop liability insurance shall be provided and the Village of Buffalo shall be na med as an additional J-11—ii b. The dispensing of beer and wine shall only be pcniiitted between the hours of one o'clock (1.-00) P.M. and nine o'clock P.M. Monday through Saturday. 1 c. The annual fee for a G7 licenses all be one hundred dollars. d. No more than three(31 prearranged events per of at which beer and wine are offered for consummion on the premises in conjunction with an art eallery showing of art work. fora private function where attendance is by invitatiozi only and not opcil to the public, e. A Village liquor license shall only be issued to an art gallcry whose princi pal business is the showing of art work. Section 3. Subsection G.5. of Section 5.20.070, Licenses-Classifications-Fees, of the Buffalo Grove Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 5.20.070 License-Classifications-Fees G. Class G licenses are divided into the following classes: 5. G5 licenses, authorizing retail sales of alcoholic liquors beer acid wifw for consumption on the premises used by a governmental organization. Class G5 licenses shall be subject to the following conditions and limitations: a. Prearranged events sponsored by governmental organizations must include the service of food, b. A representative of the governmental organization must be present throughout every such event, c. No event shall be longer than one continuous three-day period. d. The f e e f o r each special event license shall b e t wenty-five dollars. e. Alcohol liquor Beer •• consumption shall only be allowed in a designated area as approved by the Local Liquor Control Commissioner. 2 Section 4. If any section,paragraph, clause or provision oft is Ordinance shall be held invalid, the invalidity thereof shall not affect any other provision oft is Ordinance. Section 5. Any person violating any portion oft is Ordinance shall be punished according tote provisions of Section 5.20.260 of the Buffalo Grove Municipal Code. Section 6.
