OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS HELD IN THE LEGISLATIVE
CONFERENCE ROOM ON MONDAY, JULY 15, 2002
The Executive Meeting convened at 9:06 .
Those present were: Elliott Hartstein, Village President; Jeff Brennan, DeAnn Glover, Jeff Berman, Chuck Johnson,
Bruce Kahn and Steve Trilling, Village Trustees; William Raysa, Village Attorney; and Janet Sirabian, Village Clerk.
The first reason for the Executive Meeting to discuss Possible Litigation.
0 The topic of discussion related to ContEd - the Board discussed a letter from ComEd to the Village of Buffalo
Grove dated June 19, 2002 in which they stated they would be filing an application with the ICC. Mr. Balling
brought the Board up to date. The Board then spoke with Joe Donovan and Hank Kelly, representing the law firm
of O'Keefe Ashenden Lyons &Ward, who then briefed the Board regarding possible litigation.
The second reason for the Executive Meeting was to discuss Land Disposition,
The topic of discussion related to Avis Investments-Mr. Balling and Mr. Raysa discussed the sale of land to Avis
Investments,
The third reason for the Executive Meeting was to approve Executive Session Minutes.
• The following Executive Meeting minutes were approved and released for public inspection:
October 15, 2001 November 19, 2001 January 7, 2002 March 18, 2002
April 1, 2002 June 3, 2002 June 17, 2002
The Executive Meeting terminated at 9:59 .

On 6/16/03, it was moved by Kalm, seconded by Johnson, to approve the above Executive Meeting minutes. Upon roll
call, Trustees voted as follows:
AYES: 5 - Braiman, Berman, Johnson, Kahn, Trilling
GAYS: 0 - None
ABSENT: 1 -Glover
Motion declared carried.
On 6/16/03, it was moved by Kahn, seconded by Johnson, to authorize release of the above Executive Meeting minutes.
Upon roll call, Trustees voted as follows:
AYES: 5 - Braintan, Berman, Johnson, Kahn, Trilling
NAYS: 0 - None
ABSENT: 1 - Glover
