08/16/2004 MINUTES OF THE EXECUTIVE MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES,
VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS HELD IN THE
LEGISLATIVE CONFERENCE ROOM ON MONDAY, AUGUST 16, 2004
The Executive Meeting convened at 8:20 RM. This meeting was recorded via audio casette.
Those present were: Elliott Hartstefto Village President; Jeff Braiman, DeAnn Glover, Chuck Johnson, Bruce Kahn and Steve
Trilling, Village Trustees; Wilfliam Balling, Village Manager; Ghida Neukirch,Assistant Village Manager; Art Malinowski*,
Director of Human Resources; Fire Chief Sashko*; William Raysa, Village Attorney; and Janet Sirabian, Village Clerk.
The reasons for the Executive Meeting were Collective Bargaining,Purchase or Lease of Real Estate, Land Acquisition,
Possible or Probable Litigation,Approval of Executive Meeting Minutes.
• The first item of discussion pertained to Collective Bargaining—Mr.Malinowsm reported to the Board on the status of the
status of the Collective Bargaining negotiations with the Buffalo Grove Firefighter/Paramedics.
*Mr,Malinowski and Chief Sashko left at this time,
• The second item of discussion pertained to the approval of Executive Meeting Minutes-The following Executive Meeting
minutes were approved and released:

The following minutes were approved,but it was determined that the need for confidentiality still exists to all or part of

• The third topic of discussion related to Land Acquisition-Mr. Balling discussed possible annexation of the Dun Lo
Highlands subdivision by the Village of Buffalo Grove, which included the public infrastructure therein.
• The fourth item for discussion pertained to Possibile or Probable Litigation-Mr.Balling presented options to the Board
with regard to the Tandem Realty development proposed on Old Arlington Heights Road in Arlington Heights.
• The fifth item for discussion pertained to Pending Litigation: Mr,Raysa reviewed the ruling by the Lake County State's
Attorney on the Wheeling Park District Quo Warranto request.
The Executive Meeting terminated at 9:00 P.M.

as follows:
AYES: 4-Brannan,Glover,Kahn,Trilling
NAYS: 0-None
ABSENT: 2-Berman,Johnson
Motion declared carried.
On 8/15/05, it was moved by Brannan,seconded by Glover, to authorize release of the above Executive Meeting minutes. Upon roll call,
Trustees voted as follows:
AYES: 4-Braiman,Glover,Kahn,Trilling
NAYS: 0-None
ABSENT: 2-Johnson,Berman
