AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13.04,
WATERWORKS AND SEWERAGE SYSTEM,
OF THE VILLAGE OF_U_ FALO GROVE MUNICIPAL CODE
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove is a Home Rule Unit pursuant to the Illinois
Constitution of 1970.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINIED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE
COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows:
Section 1. Section 13.04.230, Access to private property, of the Village of Buffalo
Grove Municipal Code, is amended to read as follows:
1 . 4.23 Access to private property.
A. The Village, its employees, and agents shall have ready access, at all reasonable hours
to the premises, places or buildings where meters are located for the purpose of reading,
examining, testing, replacing and repairing the same, and examining and testing the consumption,
use and flow of water. If there is a refusal to nermit access to the Dremises the Village mav assess
a$100.00 surcharge per water billing period.

Section 2. If any section, paragraph, clause or provision of this ordinance shall be held
invalid, the invalidity thereof shall not affect any other provision of this ordinance.
Section 3. Any person violating any portion of this Ordinance shall be punished
according to the provisions of Chapter 1.08 of the Buffalo Grove Municipal Code.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication. This ordinance may be published in pamphlet form.
