1999-0020 0 ORDINANCE NO. 99- 2 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR EMERGENCY ACCESS LANES AT THE GROVE COURT SHOPPING CENTER WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove is an Illinois Home Rule Unit pursuant to the Illinois Constitution of 1970. WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove has received a written request from the owners of the Grove Court Shopping Center, 745 - 799 South Buffalo Grove Road that emergency police and fire lanes be established on their premises. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS: Section 1. Emergency access lanes for police and fire are hereby created and provided for at the Grove Court Shopping Center as designed on Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 2. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, corporation, or other entity to block or obstruct wholly or partly any of the designated fire lane or police lane. Section 3. Any person violating this ordinance shall be punished in accordance with Chapter 1.08 of the Village of Buffalo Grove Municipal Code. Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication. This ordinance may be published in pamphlet form. This ordinance shall not be codified.
