AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A GENERAL ADVISORY REFERENDUM
REGARDING SPENDING DECISIONS ON COMMUNITY SERVICES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1. That a general advisory referendum shall be held on Tuesday,
November 8, 1994 in accordance with the provisions of Article 28 of the Illinois Election
Code, 10 ILCS 5/28 -1 et seq. for the purpose of submitting the following advisory public
question to the legal voters of the Village of Buffalo Grove.
Should the Village of Buffalo Grove's spending decisions on community
services such as fire fighting, police, paramedic, snow removal and
neighborhood crime prevention be made by your locally elected Buffalo
Grove Village Board rather than by the State Legislature in Springfield?
Section 2. The Village Clerk is hereby directed to file this ordinance with the
Election Department of the Cook County Clerk's Office no later than September 6, 1994
and with the Election Department of the Lake County Clerk's office no later than
September 6, 1994.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.

NAYES: 0 - None
ABSENT: 2 - Reid, Rubin
