ORDINANCE NO. 93- 72
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13.04.290 OF TITLE 13 OF THE
VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE MUNICIPAL CODE
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove is a Home -Rule Unit pursuant to the Illinois
Constitution of 1970; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove is a part to an Intergovernmental Agreement
for Sewage Treatment Services ( "Agreement ") which, amongst other conditions and terms,
articulates within the language of said Agreement certain fees that will be paid from time -to-
time for sanitary sewer treatment service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS that:
SECTION 1. Section 13.04.290, Sewer Use Charges, Subsection A7, of the Village of
Buffalo Grove Municipal Code is amended to read as follows:
7. Service Charge. There shall be a service charge to fourteen dollars and fifty
cents ($14.50) per month for each user /consumer serviced by the Lake County
sewer system. Cook County user /consumers are taxed for sewer treatment via
tax levied by the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago.
For commercial, institutional and industrial user /consumers serviced by the Lake
County sewer system, the rate will be fourteen dollars and fifty cents ($14.50)
for every seven thousand five hundred gallons of metered service. The fee will
be calculated to the nearest tenth equivalent of measure.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval in the manner provided by law as of September 1, 1993.
